That regionals that I mentioned? Similar weather. Played 4 games on Sat, 9 on Sunday. It was brutal. IIRC, it was over 100 heat index by noon. The kicker? On Sat, we lost our 1B (blew out his knee on a play in the first game) so since we didn't have an "extra" on the roster at the time, we rolled with 9 players for 2 games (until a friend showed up later for the last game), which usually is a death sentence in softball. Especially since his "spot" in the batting order is officially vacated, and is an automatic out when his "spot" is up to bat. Yeah.

Goes to show what a little bit of luck, and a LOT of determination can do. :)

Once you get going, adrenaline kicks in, but at the end of the day, you pay for it. You are utterly exhausted, and can't think straight. You're just out of it.

Arrgghh! Jr MNSed badly last night. He was looking great in the tux and a cute blond about his age chased him all night. I finally asked one of my cousins to give him some advice. So jr did finally ask the girl to dance but then he kind of danced away from her. *facepalm*

Mornin' Lodge. Sort of bittersweet here today. About 30 minutes ago my oldest daughter left for her 1600 mile trek to Texas and a new chapter in her life. As she pulled out of the driveway and headed up the road I lost it but at the same time I was tremendously proud. Probably gonna be rough for the next couple of days as I come to terms with this.
