Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Afternoon!

Finally have cable/internet in my new place. So life is getting back to normal. Just in time for work on Monday morning.

One of the refillers/spreaders will eventually get to me.

And one more day of stifling heat, then it's a weekend of relaxation.

72 degrees here in 320ville. I wore the parka today. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

320?! That's not an area code! I thought area codes had a middle number of 0 or 1...
I live in the 651 code - the St. Paul side of the Twin Cities metropolitan area code. Then we also have 952 (SW), and 763 (NW) portions of the metro. The whole seven-county area used to be under the 612 code, which still covers the city of Minneapolis. The change took place some 20 years ago maybe.

I just spent two hours vacuuming the master bedroom in my house. I would come home from work to see my mom vacuuming the main living area, and just assumed that she was vacuuming her bedroom, too. I was very, very wrong.

Just checked Weatherbug - 98 with a dewpoint of 71 at MSP. Or, is it New Orleans? Dam.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

FINALLY! Slow day at work! They cut two people by noon, and when I asked about it, they cut me right then and there. And now not a f* will be given for the rest of the weekend!

House of Neat Hats tonight, then tomorrow I'm heading to Hudson to catch up with some old college friends in the afternoon, then back to Maple Plain to have a beer with a friend in the evening.

There was a time when that was true, then Alexander Grahm Bell invented the cell phone and they needed new ones. Or was that Steve Jobs or Al Gore who invented the cell phone? Well whomever, it was his fault we have all those new area codes.

It only hit 100 here. I spent the afternoon at......the ice arena, watching hockey camps. I actually got a little chilled a couple times.

Really? I haven't checked the weather for cityslickerville.........yesterday was sunny and 88 here and no humidity. Today it was cloudy and windy. I don't think it hit 70 and no humidity. Windows are open in the house and the AC is taking a break. What a difference two hours does.

For those of you familiar with Norway Beach Federal Campground just east of Cass Lake. The storm earlier this week destroyed the campground. Mature Norway and White Pines all gone. A friend works for the Forest Serivce. He said it will take at least four months to clean it up. :(

Evening, Lodge. Not quite as hot today, though I'm still waiting for the elusive weather break they keep claiming is happening tomorrow. Must be about as far away as Ontonagon. :p

Lucky for me, I got tomorrow off. No more *s to be given until Sunday, haha.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #152: Next to get married?

Hot and humid today in the 603. I spent the afternoon at NHH (New Hampshire Hospital) beginning my 6 week psych rotation. On the plus side, it's quite cool in there. Downside, got to keep the ladies (and everything else) covered up which means socks, long pants, shirt, and sweatervest (I can't wear regular button up shirts without causing a scene).

Much better now, low 80s. Went out for the lad's 19th birthday and it poured shortly after we sat down for dinner. Dew point is still high (73), methinks we are still in for some boomers tonight.

It's still 91 here, and it's quarter to 10. Heat index still at 100. One more day of this stuff.
