So the team that goldy jr plays on this summer faced off against the team that Mavsy is coaching up in St. Cloooud tonight. Ended 9-2 Cake Eaters. Can't say jr had much to do with it. He should have had an assist, but it was given to another kid. It was 3-2 going into the third. Broke open with a couple quick ones early in the third.

Interested? Yes. Not sure if I can since I'll only get about 9 days of vacation this year, and I'll be using some for Houghton, Christmas, and maybe the 4th. Once I find out what my schedule is going to be, I'll know more.

Let me tell you, there were some fine contestants in that category tonight!

The event finally ended. And as an added bonus, they invited us lowly band members to the after-party. So we got to have some pizza, some really good porchetta on a white bun, and plenty o' wine and beer to make up for the earlier speeches. Could have been worse.

My sister graduates from college today. Also, and don't tell her this, but more importantly my car turns 1 year old today!

So, did you do the right thing and get her a car for her graduation?

So is bb_dl becoming a granola eating hippie? Next thing you know he'll trade his shirts with snaps for tie-dye and his neat hat for a rasta knit hat. :p

It's DMV day for me. Gotta renew the ol' driver's license.

More importantly, tonight is my FFL league's draft lottery and the Ramones Tribute concert for the American Cancer Society. Should be a blast.

On a Saturday? Your DMV is open on the weekend? Wow.

So, I thought I was supposed to go to the BU Alumni Comedy Show tonight. Usually the night before Commencement they have a show and invite back alums that current stand ups. Jeff Ross has gone a couple of times. My friend, who I have season tickets with and whose daughter is my godchild, was tapped to host it again. She is very funny and has done stand up before. Anyway, I didn't realize she was doing it again this year and when she mentioned it, I said I wanted to go. She said she would get me a comp ticket, etc. She was really busy all week but I knew she would contact me. Was really looking forward to it. I get a text from her yesterday morning at 5:30am telling me I was on the comp list, her husband was going to be at the Sunset Cantina ahead of time, etc. I texted her back when I got the text about 8:30, told her "Great! I'll text him tomorrow to make plans." Go to work, left early to go catch a movie with a friend, which we had been planning for a week or so. I hear my phone while we were waiting to go in and get seats and it's her. "The show is tonight!!!!" D'oh!! I just assumed it was on Saturday!!!! I'm so bummed I missed it. And now I have no plans for tonight.

Brewers/Twins game tonight at Miller Park, with the amount of suck between these 2 teams it could rival the 1st Invasion

I wasn't going for granola, I was going for the crunchy stuff that is on the top of apple crisp.

Yep, it's open on Saturdays. It's a nice convenience. However, today was PACKED (went right at opening at 9am), so it was an hour wait; thank goodness I brought a book to read. Usually it's only about a 10-15 minute wait, don't know why it was so busy today. When I left, it was still jampacked.

And that stinks about missing the show. :(
