Cheer up, the worst is yet to come
Just saw his Facebook post about it. I have no idea who that is, but I'm sure he'll wear jeans, boots, neat hat and twang a lot.
And he is probably married to his sister.

She is a student teacher right now. I'm concerned that she got most of the way through some teaching program with an English focus and still writes an e-mail like that to us parents. And that she is supposed to be teaching the final unit in my son's class.
And no attempt was made to inform you of the complaints and allow for you to improve performance before termination, i.e. a performance review?
This sounds fishy. Methinks they've been wanting you out and this was their excuse. I'd be contacting HR or your union rep if you have one. If you've had nothing but favorable performance reviews in the past before you were fired, present them. Did they terminate several people or just you?
Prior to today, I was told that I was doing well, that my numbers were going up and I could be considered for promotion. However, I have a hunch that since they hired a spate of new demonstrators, they were looking to cut back somewhere and the axe fell on me. I don't have an HR or union rep to go to; their corporate office is in Plano, TX. That being said, I still think it was a weasel move firing me via phone... I had no opportunity to answer the charges against me.http://ericchurch.com/tour
Yeah, and I'm with Twitchboy on that Bob. You did say something about looking for another job earlier on facebook a day or two ago. I doubt they would have moved just that fast with it, but I would think that they might have had a feeling you was looking anyways. Plus, you might have been coming up on some bonus or pay increase as well. My money is that they find it cheaper to train somebody new to do your job than what it is to pay you that extra nickle in your paycheck.

They didn't mention that. They were dead set on the nature of these "complaints." Then again, the way I see it, a trained monkey could have done my job. That's plausible as well. If you didn't seem happy there and they knew you were going to fly the coop next chance you got, they might as well cut their losses.

I just got fired from my job. Between this and failing out of the Culinary Institute of Michigan, this has NOT been a good year.
Here at work we are printing MSU-M logo on a bottle opener key chain. The first thing I thought of was you little run-in with Mad-town.
According to my former boss, some customers complained, and it was enough for them to let me go. Oh well.
Send me a keychain?
Glad to know I'm well known for one of the dumbest things in my life.
ThisPraying for you Bob, keep on keepin' on.
He's pretty outspoken about that. He has come out and said that he's going to be one of the iconic names of country music by the time he's done, the kind of influence that defines, and maybe shifts the genre. He expects it to be: Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, George Strait, Garth Brooks, Eric Church. So those of you that haven't heard of him, I would expect that would change soon, he's the real deal. There was actually a decent article on him in a recent issue of Rolling Stone. Sounds like he's still a regular whiskey-drinkin' good ol' boy redneck, and doesn't really give two craps about fame; although it mentions that he's extremely competitive (as in out to prove he's the best). Also, in mentions that after they were fired from their first tour as an opening band (for playing too long), they would do state fairs and such. He'd send out his guitarist before the show to play Pantera instrumentals to drive the old people out. That last part I think it pretty cool.
That being said, I'm still not a fan of the music overall.
