Good evening Lodge.

Just got back from the lake. It felt good to get out and ski. Water is a bit cool yet. Don't ask me how I know just take my word for it. ;)

Pork tenderloin for dinner (slow cooked on the grill) along with grilled baby red potatoes and a couple salads. After that a bonfire and then hang out with good friends.

Bought some free range ground chuck at the Farmers' Market this am. Burgers on the grill. Will grill asparagus from same market too. Dinning on screened porch with a Tanguray and Tonic.

Went to a cookout and didn't eat much... I should have brought booze. I need some.

I've been to two Indy 500s. I couldn't do it every year, but man is it worth it to go at least once, because it's amazing how fast those cars scream by.

Back from the meet. Turned into a beautiful day even tho it was supposed to be cool and cloudy. Not beautiful to run if you were a distance person! 90F is not good runnin' weather. Dehydrated and exhausted but had a good time. The discus guy won on the final throw. Great kid. So happy for him!

There's something wrong with MNSfest if he can post that coherently at 8:35 PM.

The free range beef made for really tasty burgers. Tasted much more beefy than the usual grocery store beef. And the fresh asparagus was sooo much better than the grocery store stuff it's not even like the same vegetable. T&T was good too.

Yummy, sounds a bit like what I did for lunch. mom had a pork loin, fixed up a cinnamon rub for it, cut a few apples up, and tossed that sucker in my smoker here with some apple wood chips. Turned out pretty good, but I do think it would have been even better if I had wrapped it in bacon.

So naturally, since I'm now in WV territory, I would start my Monday morning with a little unknown song by Johnny Denver. Something about Country Roads? ;)

Surprisingly, they haven't been an issue. Lots and lots of them out and around, but nobody being silly with a 700 foot tug and barges coming at them. Had a pseudo county cop boat escort through Cincinnati, although I imagine he was just doing a patrol and had nothing to do with me, but then again I AM kinda a big deal ;)
