I'm going to try to get my butt off the couch and get downtown... I don't want to go into DC today but there's a math based exhibit in the international center (next to the castle... down a spiral staircase) that I want to see before they mothball it... this sunday. It seems to be the "real deal" in the sense that they're trying to do actual cool stuff with it as opposed to some "gee, wilikers math sure is cool" type of thing.

if I can get going in the next few minutes I'm hoping maybe I can get in there in a lunchtime lull.

As for MNS, I think the following convo shows that he can handle his booze:

Finding Rocky IV on some Spanish channel is comedy gold.

It was a good weekend....

I went to the library last weekend and got my card renewed. Apparently the Dakota County Library system issued all new cards within the last 14 years so people could make use of online resources. I just checked out a book for reading on my Kindle. It's a pretty slick deal, especially since part of the reason I never used the library is that it's only open while I'm at the office. I just checked out my first book today, from the seclusion of my own home.

So this year I went bike riding on Memorial Day instead of Sunday in order to avoid Rolling Thunder. So instead three separate parades got in my way. :rolleyes:

I don't know the layout of DC at all, other than the government district is laid out in a spoke-and-wheel pattern, but couldn't you just turn your bike away from the city and take your chances in the VA or MD areas? Just beware the hillbillies.

I was in both the MD and VA suburbs. The parades were in VA. I live in DC and mostly ride into the suburbs.

I had a good weekend. Yesterday went well, I think we all had some fun. We went golfing with my parents and my dad's friend today, which was a good time. My golf game is as bipolar as ever, as I can go from running off a few birdies to posting snowmen in no time whatsoever, I guess that is what its like to be a 20 handicapper.

Life is very good for me right now. Very happy. :D
