Pittsburgh to Minneapolis? I'd drive that...
It's about 940 miles by car and JF_Gophers doesn't drive. That's one exceptionally expensive taxi ride or a long bus ride.

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! sunday, day of rest.
GO DHS!!

Lil has a meet today.Just took off with Mr les. I came down to him finishing off a scrambled egg sandwich he had made himself. So far, 2 eggs, an English muffin, a yogurt and he was out the door with a lunch, 2 batches of Choc Chip cookies he helped make yest, a banana, cheez-its, fig newtons, 4 bottles of gatorade, and I'm not sure what else in his bag. Mr is stopping at Dunkins on the way and I am sure he will eat something from there as well. YIKES!! I told him he was turning into a Hoover. He said no a Shop Vac (Gatorade is a liquid, Hoovers can't handle that).

Boy RFAlph that was early
he's a growing lad. Food is bound to disappear around him in a hurry.

The second part explains things.

No, the 940 mile part does, at that point the cost of flying has got to be close to the cost of driving. As much as flying sucks, 15 hours in a car is worse.

For my part, I travel not to go anywhere, but to go. I travel for travel's sake. The great affair is to move.

6 year old brother locked us all out of my grandparents' house this morning, himself included. Dad had to break a basement window. Good times.

Who the hell wants to drive 15 hours? Especially when it was only a 3 day weekend. No thanks. Nice and tidy 1 hr 40 min flights are more my style.

Did Brent set himself on fire again?

I don't think so, he was out at the fire longer than I was, so I can't say for sure. It was actually a pretty uneventful night, but it was definitely fun.

One of the Mums turned wround to me today and asked me if he ever stops eating. The answer lately is no.

It wasn't that late, maybe 9:30ish? soh was gone when I woke up, but I didn't hear what time he left.

Yeah, nothing really happened. Although, when playing Beerdarts, bbdl just about put the whole dart through the can, ending my game right there. Went in about 1/3 of the way up, and the point of the dart was sticking out about 1/4" inch from the bottom, max, on the other side.

That'll happen.

I don't think we were up until 10:30, so you guys were long gone by the time we wandered back upstairs.

Smoked the turkey breasts from jr's bird today. Very tasty, but dry. If he shoots another I think I'll roast it instead of smoking. Whole house smells like a campfire right now, bird was very tasty. I brined them, injected them with oil and beer and used a wet smoker, still dry.

My cousin, a retired Purdue prof, died Friday. :( May have to drive to West Lafayette soon for a funeral. Was already planning to drive there in July for another cousin's kid's wedding.

Sorry to hear, goldy.

Oh, bbdl did forget to mention an experiment that could have ended really badly. He set a 1/3 full bottle of beer in the fire. The beer boiled, of course....then we kind of heard a *poof* saw a tiny flame shoot to the side between bbdl and me, and then we saw that the neck of the bottle was not there anymore. I tell ya, engineers and their thought processes. ;)
