They have a message at work concerning the 2011 employee satisfaction survey... and lo and behold the numbers went down... wait until this year's... after giving meager to no bonuses in the past year. Work hard, get ****. Didn't help that I'm in a foul mood... if they don't want to respect me they'll be getting my resignation letter as soon as I'm able.

Then as if the director didn't think all the high-fiving and shower scenes were suggestive enough, there was a gratuitous scene in which all the guys got oiled up and played volleyball. Every few minutes I half-expected to see Cruise and Kilmer lock lips to a ballad of "It's Raining Men:"

Not that there's anything wrong with that! :D

Sweet refreshing beverage, coming soon! :)

I have a wedding to play at at 6pm, so my Friday liquid refreshment has to wait till 7:15 or so. But I can see it from here!

I doubt that anything the organization as a whole does is personally directed towards you.

Going to work for a large company is like getting on a train. Are you going sixty miles an hour or is the train going sixty miles an hour and you're just sitting still?
~J. Paul Getty

It all depends on your frame of reference. Are you on the train too or on the platform watching the train go by?

Sorry... had a nasty flashback to physics class and had to throw that out there so I could purge it.

Math alarm has been working well the past few days. Not sure the guy I bunk with likes it though ;)

Sweet, sweet redemption, *****es.

You ran into Jess from "El Roco", got her drunk, and went back to her place? If not, more details are required.

Yep. But, then I woke up and had to get to work.

Yesterday I ran a not-so-good problem on local (who you normally think of when you think of a tower controller). Today I ran a good problem and a nearly flawless problem on the same position.

Oh, and Hammer...I need to borrow your shovel. My ghostpilot on one of my ground runs today needs to have a meeting with it. I had to tell him to cross a King Air 4 times before the King Air started to move. I taxi another guy to a runway intersection, he takes the guy to full legth. I told him to hold a Beechjet short of a taxiway so I could get 2 guys across an active runway and they could get to parking. They get past, I turn my attention somewhere else (higher priority...emergency situation). Coordinate another runway crossing for a NORDO (no radio), look over and the flippin Beechjet is holding short of the runway blocking my crossing path. I "kindly remind" the Beechjet where he should be and switch him to local control. Local gets him rolling, I coordinate another runway crossing. Give the NORDO another light signal to cross. Tell another airplane behind him to cross as well. NORDO doesn't move. Flash the gun at him again, look over at the ghostpilot and he's chatting with the ghostpilot behind him, not looking at the screen (which is where he'll see the light gun signal).

Dude, that's low. Oboe? Ai-yai-yai.

Clarinet. Mucho cooler.

Why am I speaking Spanish? Because there's a giant tequila old-fashioned here helping me say Adios to the week.

Ugh. What was going to be a non-stressful night turned to be a rage filled one. Stupid comp has been messing with me hardcore. It's pretty much dead after a few months on life support. After about 2 hours of messing with my modem/router/comp......finally got it to sorta work. Kinda. Looks like I'm getting a new one on Sunday.

Hey Lodge Late Nighters.

Well, it looks like I'm not single anymore, and I'm quite happy about it. :)
