Afternoon all. Just having some lunch here and knocking out a few errands today. Going to go donate blood here soon. They must really want some more B neg here, as they called me 3 times last yesterday to remind me about it.

Last yesterday? Does that mean two days ago?

Morning Lodge.

I'm going to be an uncle.

Can I start the whole midlife crisis thing now? I'll take the Corvette and the speedboat.

Wouldn't you rather have the Corvette and the blonde?

We took jr to tour another school today (Holy Angels for the locals). They wear uniforms there, sorta - not real formal and lots of variations. For all the talk in movies and such, this whole "high school girls in pleated skirts" really does nothing for me. Maybe you need to be a worse pervert than me to have that kind of interest.

I bought an umbrella today because of it raining today and I forgot mine at home. I really don't want to chance getting drenched while waiting for my bus to go home. When cutting off the various tags on the umbrella I noticed a warning tag. The umbrella companies have not been compelled to tell people that they shouldn't open them towards their own faces. It's just getting sadder and sadder out there.

goldy, I prefer the girls in pleated skirts to be in college and not high school, just long enough to not show anything while standing, but then when they bend over - hello, nurse!

Cause they are girls!! 14/15/16/17 doesn't do it (unless they are GROWN and look 19/20/21!!! :D)

I think this pretty much sums up the whole thing. Probably the thing I miss most from college. That and when it got really sunny and girls decided to do some tanning just outside the dorms.

Have you called the airline to try and get your flight changed? Because you are missing that connection if the gate isn't on the same concourse as the one you land at.
I made it from my gate in B concourse to the connection gate at the far end of D concourse in 19 minutes....only to find out that the flight was delayed by 30 minutes, so I would have made it anyway, but I ended up making it in plenty of time.

Now I'm sitting at a Holiday Inn Express in the bayou.

just remember, you can always apologize later :p

True. Sad, but true. :p

New sign at the beginning of a bike trail: "No Texting While Bike Riding". Well, I suppose that someone would try that.

Texting while bike riding. For crying out loud.

Time to let the secret out: One of the surprising benefits of aging is discovering 30-yr-old women can be fine. 40-yr-old women can be fi-yi-yine. 50-yr-old women can be fiiiiine. And let's be honest here: they're also more skilled. And by more, we mean exponentially.

At airport, heading to atlanta, where i only have a 30 minute layover. Wish me luck.

I've had that experience in ATL. Due to de-icing, arrived with just barely enough time to sprint 10 gates over before they shut the door.

After sitting in 11 hours of training, i find out I'm going to Germany sometime between now and October, awesome. Why cant my trips for work be domestic instead of international?

International trips are better than domestic! You pile up more miles, and (in my case, at least) the destinations are much more interesting. But my domestic travel, until recently, has been to Grand Forks, Indianapolis, Green Bay and Clovis, NM, so it is pretty easy to be more interesting than that.

What time of year? If you can, shoot for September, and then extend it into late September if you can. Octoberfest in München.

That would be amazing. I think he'd have many people jealous of his international travel if he pulled that off.

Domestic for me would be Wichita, Tulsa, Colorado Springs, Pheonix, and the place I most fear: Jamestown, ND because we fly into Bismark, the thought of MNS in charge of my plane scares the 5hit out of me :D

St Clown it's sometime later this summer but not sure exactly when.

I hope you intentionally spelled Pheonix that way. If so, props to you. But...Wichita, Tulsa and Jamestown would be hellholes to travel to.

Tulsa would be fun if it's timed right, a couple oil companies have training facilities there and i have couple friends that have been there.

That might be where my sister had to go for training, since she is a slave to big oil. Well, there and Abu Dhabi.
