According to the interwebs, 'Saltalamacchia' is Sardinian for 'jump the shrub.' Now you know. :p

Knew it had something to do with jumping. One of my favorite things to say in Spanish is "El caballo esta saltando." in an incredibly cheesy tone of voice. Silly TV commercials.

Lasted three innings. It was that cold and gross. 1-0 when we left, by the time we got in the car to head home, 4-0. Changed the station to the Celtics game, who were ahead, then Atlanta went on a 9-0 run. Shut the radio. No idea how either game is going now. I'm sitting on my couch eating chocolate animal crackers and milk and trying to get rid of the chill.

This makes me giggle. It reminds me of my 4-year old niece.

St. Cloud is getting pounded by some nice storms. Tornados have been reported.
Fortunately they have the concrete center to protect them.

Unfortunately a tornado wouldn't destroy that eye sore. :p

Your cousin was one heck of a guy.

A scholar. He and his dad were the only ones in our family. I mean we have a bunch of BA and BS degrees, but I don't think anyone else went beyond that. Might be an MBA or two two mixed in that were earned while working. His dad was dean of college of education at UMN for some time. ALS got him very quickly.

Picked jr up from hockey practice as the storm hit and drove home in some pretty good downpours with lightening mixed in. No hail though that I saw.

Then there's saltimbocca -- cheese wrapped in prosciutto wrapped in thin veal, all rolled up and sauteed to a crispy, fatty, cheesy goodness -- which means "jump in the mouth." Mmmmm . . .

Playing in the sim again tomorrow. Apparently, the voice rec program doesn't like my Northern accent. It recognized the kid from Amsterdam's, but had trouble with mine. Southern bias. The good news is I still ran a decent problem, and our PV (Performance Verification) is a similar difficulty and we haven't built up to that yet.

Yeah, but would your niece eat them out of a Martini glass??? That's kind of the visual I'm getting her with those animal crackers and being all curled up on the couch.

I always hated the end of the semester... Very anti-climatic and everybody just kinda disappears.
