Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #149 - Best adaptation of a movie title-and the lodgie goes

Good Morning Lodge.

It is sooo weird to think of both JF and bb having girlfriends.

Someday I want to hear the story of how JF found a gf in Pittsburgh.

Good Morning Lodge!

Getting girlfriends? I'm just happy I became free from a controlling female dog about a year ago.

Then there's saltimbocca -- cheese wrapped in prosciutto wrapped in thin veal, all rolled up and sauteed to a crispy, fatty, cheesy goodness -- which means "jump in the mouth." Mmmmm . . .
*drool* Love that stuff. Maybe I'll make that to celebrate the end of the semester on Sunday night. (Final is Thursday, then back to back 14-hour shifts Friday/Saturday does not leave much time for celebrating...)

Edit - my condolences, goldy. Your cousin led a VERY interesting life!

Condolences, goldy. :(

The next time my bosses decide to schedule events at the store back to back, I'm going to start doling out falconpunches. 12 hour day followed by an 11 hour day (only 11 because I still snuck out for a haircut).
Then I come home both nights to FM sitting with the Homegrown Music Festival program in his lap and a sad puppydog look on his face because I honestly don't feel like going to a damm concert. Ugggghhh.
OK, done ranting.

Did you meet her the night after you lost that cowboy hat? :p:D
Nope. I met her at the tailgate party before the West Regional Final. PB told her that we were tailgating, so she came to find us. I invited her over for my National Championship Game party/bonfire, and after that we went on a date to a Twins game...so on and so forth.

You can vent all you want; I, at least, sympathize. Right now with school, I only work 2 days a week (7am-9pm Fridays and Saturdays). So when I don't want to go to the movies, go out to dinner, go to brunch, etc. on Saturday night or Sunday morning, I also get the sad puppy dog face. Makes me crazy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #149 - Best adaptation of a movie title-and the lodgie goes

Just got a call from Mr. He got a ticket a few months ago for failing to stop at a stop sign going onto a 2 lane highway. He stopped hard enough that the stuff on my lap slid off and I had some choice words about his hitting the brake so hard. The policeman told us in so many words he had to make quota and it wouldn't stand up in court. Well- the policeman didn't show up but another policeman did. The judge listened to what Mr said including the policman was about 75 yards away from the intersection on the 2 lane highway Mr had to stop because there were oncoming cars. The Judge asked the guy (WHO WAS NOT THERE) if what he said was right. The guy said no, they park in X street which is sig closer to the intersection. The judge reduced the fine but let the tix stand. I wish I was there to tell the same story because I was really POd my stuff slid off my lap and hit the floor. Why can a policeman who wasn't there say what happened? Yay justice.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge #149 - Best adaptation of a movie title-and the lodgie goes

Hey kids. Managed to get thru the work day yesterday. More crazy days to follow but yesterday and the days leading up to it were insane. A bit of a breather today - maybe I can get some other work done that I've been putting off.

Got a call about 4-ish yesterday with excellent news about our 4th of July show - the performer we have been waiting to hear from accepted. Can't tell you yet as the network owns the rights to make the announcement but we're all pretty excited. Cross your fingers what happened last year does not happen again. Otherwise I will be admitting myself to a psychiatric facility.

Taking my godson to dinner tonight. Haven't seen him in months. I was very annoyed about him ignoring my texts so I told my mom to tell her sister to tell her son to tell his son to answer my texts because I'm annoyed. I get that he's busy. He doesn't know busy yet. He's a college freshman. I swear it's the water up at The Heights. I had told him last year when he got accepted there that the trade off would be dinner once a month. It's only happened once. So he owes me about eight dinners. I have a feeling he might bag out on me. We'll see.

Just made an appointment to tour a private high school next week (AHA). Jr is shadowing a 9th grader from our church at a different school (BSM - MNS's school) on Friday. I better get a job soon as he's starting to excited at the idea of changing schools.

ETA: Good luck with the 4th show Scarlet!
