Going to the bayou next week for a couple days. Yee haw, with a cajun accent.

Where at and when? I might be in the baton rouge area midweek, then down towards morgan city by the weekend on the boat. Find yourself some boudain (cajun sausage) and crawfish while you're down here if you're into stuff like that. Oh, and have some alligator if you haven't had it before too. (no, seriously. It tastes like chicken.)

We have gator brats at the MN State Fair every year. They are quite good.

New Iberia, getting there on Sunday, leaving on Tuesday. I've had gator, at none other than the Great Minnesota Get-Together! I've been told to go to a certain seafood restaurant in Morgan City, I was told it was worth the drive from New Iberia, so I'm thinking that I'll drive there one night.

Speaking of turkeys. Last weekend I was driving into town. It was rainy and windy. As I was accelerating onto the on ramp there was a car in front of me and a car behind me. The car in front of me suddenly swerved and before I knew it there was a turkey standing right in front of me in the center of the road. I hit it. The bird flipped over my car and I saw it come down (with my rearview mirror) on top of the car behind me . I pulled over to make everything was ok. To my surprise the car behind me was a state trooper. When it was all said and done he wrote me a ticket for $125.00! Why you ask? For flipping him the bird. :)

Our union is quieter than our library.. Seriously keep your convos out of the library and let it serve it's purpose.

I studied two days during grad school for a probability final in a semi-busy area of the student union... learned almost the entire course work of material that I was shaky on...

In other words, no sympathy.

Went from a D to an A- solely on AP Biology (soph HS) because of the final, which I crammed for in 2 days. At my HS, that particular class used a university-issue soph biology textbook. Don't get me wrong, I was out of my league in that class, never was good at science, but with a lot of will, and much more caffeine, you can do it.

AP classes were a joke at my high school. I took 3 of them, and didn't get anything out of them, enough so that I didn't even see the point in taking the AP exams. But, I had been in the advanced classes throughout school, so they were the only classes left to take. (The only one that may be an exception is the AP Literature and Composition class, that one could have been legit, but I wouldn't know, since I didn't read a single one of the books)
