Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 144: (Lack of) Winter Wonderland

Howdy Lodge. Still here at work. Busy day today. As was yesterday. And tomorrow will be as well. I'm getting ready to send a communication to all of our US employees about a big initiative we're planning for the summer. The creative was done last week and Friday at 5:00pm the client shot it down. We had to re-group Monday, come up with something new, beg the design team to work on it. Got the first draft yesterday about 5:15 as I was trying to leave for the Beanpot. Had to send edits to the designer saying - try again. This email HAS to go out tomorrow. So, in addition to stressing out over the game last night, I had this work stuff to deal with. Everything got approved today somehow, so I'm thinking it was the karma gods telling me "Look, if we give you the Beanpot, work will be a disaster." It's my way to justify the loss. :) Still not out of the woods as the email has to be tested, etc. If I make it through the end of tht day tomorrow without falling apart, I will consider it a success.

I'm at the * Valentine's Day table.

I did, however, make some Grand Marnier/amaretto/coffee chocolate truffles over the weekend with some friends, and shared them at work today.

****ing stupid holiday. I had to go to 6the restaurants before I found one without a 1 hour wait. And i ended up at the tilted kilt, where the food is ****ty. At least the scenery is good.

I would take a 1000 straight days of this holiday over listening to Garth Brooks for one hour ;)

I rarely listen to Garth. I have no Garth on my phone because he is so great that I don't want to over listen to him. It makes it that much more of a special treat when he comes on the radio.

I hate conference upheaval, regardless of division.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 144: (Lack of) Winter Wonderland

My Valentine's Day consisted of waking up at 4:00 in the morning to drop my gf's mom at the airport, doing job apps, errands, a quick dinner with the gf, and more work. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 144: (Lack of) Winter Wonderland

I'm at the singles awareness day table for dinner, then shuffling over to the HHT, history has been made in hockeytown!

Most of them aren't these days. I blame the development of scrubs. Nurses were hotter in the era when they had to wear the uniforms with the short skirts. :D

I'm sitting in a hotel room, in Green Bay, still working on replying to emails...so yeah, ****ty.

Now introducing your Detroit Yankees! :p

Seriously, that's pretty spectacular.

And not even a number from Tilted Kilt?

Nothing beats those 70s movies where they still wear those.. Always depressing however cause these days the only place you get to see it is jap porn.

Really? I was there at 7:00 on a Tuesday night and I needed to get more work done tonight. Besides, I'd have to be a coupld drinks in before I could ignore how unclean those waitresses are.

Are the Warriors that good this season? I haven't been paying much attention this year.
They're not that great, and they're probably only the third best team in their section...so not really. Though, they're still ranked.
