Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 144: (Lack of) Winter Wonderland

You know, you could stop by the CC/Tech games in a few weeks and say hi. I might even buy you a beverage of your choice.....

Brent, Thanks for the invitation and offer of a beverage, but I'll be unable to attend the CC-Tech games that weekend. Perhaps another time though. I think you've mentioned in the past you've enjoyed spending the odd hour or two in the arcade in Manitou. I hope you get the chance to venture over there when you're visiting Colorado Springs next month.

Now I have an offer/opportunity to extend to you. Beginning tomorrow morning I'll be a launching a new product in Minnesota on which I anticipate making approximately a bazillionty dollars. It's a dart board emblazoned with the likeness of Nick Shore. I figure the Don Lou Cheeah family alone will buy several thousand units and the Kent Patterson Tribe will purchase several gazillion as well. The dart board will be available exclusively online at www.ThanksForTheFourPoints.com. Honestly, I see it as being the "must-have" item of the season for Golden Gophers fans. I'm confident you'll want to get in on the ground floor as investor on this one, so just fax your credit card number to my business manager's office in Half-Assed-i-stan. I'll supply you with that 1-800 number in a separate e-mail.

Good luck to Minnesota next week against Bemidji. I'm expecting the Lucias to bounce back in a big way. The Gophers have plenty of talent and Denver was more than fortunate to sweep the series. :)

Too bad about not being able to attend the game(s). I doubt I'll be able to hit up Manitou on this trip. My main arcade buddy no longer lives there, so it'd be difficult to convince the others to go. That's okay, however. Word is that a pub crawl is in the works.

The Springs is definitely territory that's conducive to a pub crawl. Have a beverage for me and enjoy your time down there with your friends. :)

Fun night last night despite the Gophers screwing the pooch (again!) in Denver.

Today is my daughters 16th birthday so we took her and two friends to Axel's on Grand for dinner and had a wonderful time. The girls spent the night so The boss & I went to early Mass this morning then stopped at the store before making breakfast for the birthday girl and her friends. Cheesy scrambled eggs, thick cut bacon, assorted berries, Pillsbury Cinnamon rolls, muffins, fresh brewed Caribou coffee and some juice. I am stuffed!

Afternoon Lodge.

Another tournament, another championship for the bantams - 4 in a row. Jr. got the game winner. Played the two teams that had beaten them this year in this tourney, one yesterday and one today. Squeaked out two wins, 2-0 (eng) and 2-1. I'm tired of bantam hockey and I think the boys are too. Good thing they get a break this week. DAMMIT

The number of balls I would lose on Pebble would need to be expressed in Scientific Notation.

It's a loop involving two roads... I can't flork this up!
Good on you for doing it. I had that thought because he said you should only run downhill, with the wind. I was imagining that the way to do that would be opposite of what you were supposed to be doing. You always have the wind blowing at you when it is cold. It just happens that way :p

That it is. And will do on the beverage. :)
One must go to Jack Quinn's Irish Pub on S. Tejon St. Good place for a black & tan, or, if you're a Newcastle fan (Scheids316?), a black & brown.

I still played kickball and dodgeball... went 2 for 3 in kickball... hurt my right "upper thigh" so I was gimping a bit around the bases... certainly didn't feel hurt during the race... but that's how it goes.

Waiting on dinner to be delivered. Our kickball captain is back and she's a **** good catalyst and in her first real weekend back we collectively planned something ridiculous... fake baby shower.
