Well, flying back to work in the morning, but will be driving down to Syracuse tonight and staying overnight since it is a 0615 departing flight. Pretty much the best case scenario for me.

Think we better sanitize the Lodge here, just to keep the rest of us from getting sick. **Grabs Flamethrower and starts scorching everything!!!**

Good news for me today. Had a full morning today and I finally got my car back from the shop. It took em 3 tries to get the right bumper for it, but dang, the thing is almost like new, other than the windshield which was earlier stone chips. One of these days I'll get tired enough of looking at that little crack along the bottom to get that taken care of. Either way, I'm just glad to have back a vehicle with fully functioning power steering. The loaner I had probably had a sticky valve in its system. The last thing one would wants to do after a busy shift is to wrestle a car out of its parking spot with non-working power steering, as that at that point, you're better off with a car that was never set up to have power steering. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 142: On the 1000th Post of the Last Thread

Greetings. Work has been odd this week so far. Slow enough where I got VTO (voluntary time off) at 11:30am, 2 hours into my shift, 5 people cut, they got out at 7:30 last night (they overcut about 2 people). Today? Got out at 6:45, but we did VTO 4 people. So it was still slow, but we overcut by 1 person or so.

First, yes, you have to "sign up" for VTO. But yesterday was slow enough I was either going to be bored out of my skull for the next x amount of hours, or go home. Being that I'm 3rd on the seniority list (of which the order of VTO is based) I chose the latter. :) Second, I have no clue how the next two days will go.

I'm not sure we have enough propane

My cold hit like a freight train yesterday afternoon. I could go to bed, but I can't fall asleep quite yet.

We don't have to burn it all down, we just wanna heat all of the surfaces up hot enough to kill the germs. Less smellier than using bleach, and hell, a flamethrower is just **** cool to watch!! :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 142: On the 1000th Post of the Last Thread

Silly Patman, the best flamethrowers use napalm. :D
Yeah, but Napalm sticks to stuff as it burns, catching it on fire. We just wanna kiss everything with fire to kill the germs and yet keep the lodge in good working order for the most part.

Obligatory:

Kilgore: Smell that? You smell that?
Lance: What?
Kilgore: Napalm, son. Nothing else in the world smells like that.
[kneels]
Kilgore: I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn't find one of 'em, not one stinkin' dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like
[sniffing, pondering]
Kilgore: victory. Someday this war's gonna end...

Can we make an exception for the * hockey table? Besides, it's supposed to look scorched, just like our teams' hopes. :o
