I don't have an IRA, I have a 401k, and it already has a pretty big amount in it, considering I haven't been working for that long.Stop online piracy act - legislation that is viewed by some as internet censorship more or less.
Debt is fine as long as it's fixed / low interest rate because once you assess its cost in real terms and account for inflation, the cost of borrowing is very near zero. Just don't do something stupid like moving elsewhere before you've built up much equity in the house / before the real estate market has a chance to recover off the bottom a bit. That sort of thing will only further delay your rise into the upper strata of wealth.
Also, take full advantage of tax deferred investment and the Roth IRA. The more time you give your investments to earn a return, the more money you will have when you ultimately retire (and the earlier you invest, the better - $5000 invested now has significantly more compounding power behind it than $5000 invested 10 years from now).

It's their network, they can do what they want, but insert eye-roll here.

Huh?And you can't find a better way to discourage the "illegal activity"? Instead you have to go crying to mommy and daddy because someone can do something better than you?
