That is really sweet. Never been to Scotland, but I've heard its really beautiful over there. Been to Liverpool, England and Dublin (played a round of golf there on some subpar municipal course, still lots of fun) though.

I think I'll pass on the haggis. Nothing about that sounds appetizing to me. :p

on the other hand....I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch scotch. Here it goes, down in my belly.

Potato eater? Seeing as how the potato was the only source of nutrition in Ireland for 300 years and half the population including my ancestors died in the great famine, I'd say that term is insensitive. Speaking of culinary tastes, Mr. MacLeish, you're Scottish aren't you? Let's talk about Haggis. Haggis is seasoned lard stuffed into a sheep's colon. So I may be a potato eater Mr. MacLeish but I don't eat fat out of a sheep's a*hole... What do you think of the new carpet?

Just got out of a speed dating event... never been asked "what do you do" and "where are you from" more in my life... between that and having to talk for 90 min straight I'm exhausted. Woof. I don't think you can hope to get to know anybody in 3-4 minutes

I've wanted to go, but I wanted to go there to golf. I don't know if I'll be able to golf, though, if the weather is such that I can and courses are open, work will pay for my baggage fees...

My year seems to be front loaded with awesome travel, especially now that this unexpected trip to Scotland has come up. I should be going to Scotland, Sweden and Dominican Republic before June.
