Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Good Morning Folks. Two nights staying in this weekend, planned on getting stuff done at home...still haven't done anything productive. I'm going to run to Menards soon to pick up some stuff for the house. Does anyone know where to get stamps on a Sunday?

I want to get my stuff done before the game tonight.

Bank ATM's sometimes sell stamps. At least Wells Fargo ones.

Thanks guys. I'll try the ATM first, if not there I'll have to make a pitstop at the grocery store.

Brent types faster than I do. :p

I'll add that at the Safeway near me, the cashiers also sell them.

Dim sum. Love the fried shrimp... Peeling the tail off then removing the heads with eyeballs. Yum! :p

Was really exciting last night when I came home. Got out of the car and I hear some clip-clop of horses walking around. I turn around and sure enuff, the two old mares where out and running around the barnyard in the dark. Ran into the house, yelled loose horse, and kicked off my shoes and work clothes off to switch to barn cloths to go chase them around. Got them into the barn and then figured out how they got out. Somebody not me forgot to lock the gate. Anyways, mom has been meaning to give them some shots, so they got them then and then we tossed them back out into their run out lot.

Good Morning/Afternoon, Lodge!

Just finished clearing my car off. Stupid ice underneath the snow. Going to grab a bite to eat and then make Christmas Cookies this afternoon.

Inch or so in the north metro.
We had something between three and four inches, based upon what I saw on my deck this morning. It looked like there was melting going on, which confused me based upon the thermometer. I'd have thought my roof would have lost its heat by now.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Finals week...only three finals, shouldn't be terrible. I just want it to be Friday.

four or five inches here. beautiful snow, it's awesome out. perfect mild winter weather with snow.

Awaiting the Hawkeyes' Bowl Invitation later today..may make the trip to Tempe or Jacksonville for a little three night vacation. Praying OSU gets in the NC game..

We ended up with two inches when it was all said and done.

Great moment at my 8-yr-old's hockey scrimmage today. Their goalie was stopping everything, but near the end one got past him, and he dropped disgustedly onto the ice. You could tell he was not happy he'd given that one up. My son's coach picked up the puck, stopped the game for a second, and called the team over; and he had them all give the goalie a little head tap or a fist bump on the shoulder, something to say, "Hey, don't worry about it." It was really awesome to see people teaching things the right way.

Good stuff. Unless of course the parents on the other team were chanting "sieve, sieve, sieve.........". ;)

I love sieving little kid goalies when they play at intermission. The horrible looks are priceless.
