Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

I think I want to go out tonight, but I'm guessing I'll end up staying in and watching TV

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Spent a good chunk of the day at the mall helping out with a bake sale for the Miracle Horse Riders that little g is associated with. Little g was quite the salesman today. He was walking around and encouraging people to buy. He was wearing a Santa hat and people were buying stuff and paying/donating decent chunks of cash.

I was contemplating going to St. Cloud to watch sccc and BSU play this evening. Decided to stay home and hang out with the kids. Within the last couple hours we have put together puzzles and played some games. We made an awesome fort and played hide and seek.

The kids are finishing up a movie and they are almost out of gas. Looks like I will be kicking back with the iPad and such. (I made a pot of coffee about 4:30 and I have a feeling that I will be up for a bit as I rarely have caffeine after 10:00 am)

I'm glad I took a weekend off. Needed to not be around people at all after this week at work. However, I will be at the OC tomorrow. Winter Tour started, and I need 2 more visits to get a $15 credit on my beer card.

Also, note for SOH and any other tuba/baritone players on the board: anyone going to TUBACHRISTMAS this year in Minneapolis? I have the day off (Dec. 11), and figured it'd be a fun time.

I considered going, but it is the day after I am the best man in a wedding. I might feel terrible. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

OK. I must really be in Oz (or the earth stopped spinning) because I am at the HHT tonight again. If you told me I was going to sit at it once after watching this team the first game I would have laughed until I was sick.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Have my martini ready and waiting at the * hockey please.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

*goes out on the barge and gets a 5 gallon bucket of Transmix (look up the msds on that chemical) in preperation for the Lodge's Biggest Bonfire tonight, while eyeing the * hockey table.*

Well, atleast BobbyMo beating Sacred Heart 10-4 makes me LOL at SHU beating ylae last week...

Let me know when you got that fire going... I've got some cat hides to dry out.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Eyeing the HHT, but just like last night, I want to punch Don Adam in the face. He's in rare form tonight.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Yep, moving my seat at the * hockey table out in the backyard for a massive bonfire, I'm burning SLU's MIA offense, come one come all, bring more fuel for the fire if you're interested.

Have been sitting around all day on the boat, we were loading this am, now waiting dock space to discharge down in Baton Rouge. Maybe we'll get going tomorrow night. Maybe.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Drive by posting from * hockey land via my new iPhone.

I am now officially a spoiled, entitled Millennial.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

BSU departs sccc with 3 points. I will take a beverage but I'm not sure what I want.

I'm watching the MN game. The refs are horseshiat.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

HHT for me and my brethren.

Indeed. And I'll say this: when fans are begging for Shep to ref their game, you know the reffing is bad. Not. Kidding.

More importantly, SWEEP. I am pleased. Bring on the Techies! (no, really, would love to see a good fan turnout next weekend).

How much snow so far in cityslickerville?

In Cake-EaterVille, Minnetonka division, we have maybe two inches tops? Real fluffy, though. Still snowing, though. Coming down slow.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Not a flake here. Muggy though.

Heard that the south metro might have gotten heavier snow. Roads weren't great about an hour after the snow started. Really icy (temps were around freezing here, and you know what that means). I had no problem cruising around in the Wrangler (basically was able to do the speed limit, maybe 5 miles lower on the highway). Others? At least 10 mph slower than the limit on any road. Any. Road.
