bbdl: Holiday does not have that corporate guidline. No meth addicts at my Holiday. Of course, look at your neighborhood, and then look at mine. :p

I'm pretty sure I've seen them at yours. And the one that inspired that comment wasn't in "my neighborhood" it was in ****ty friendly Fridley.

Ohhhh Fridley is much worse than Moose Lake, or Blaine, or whatever trailer trash city you are in. :D

MNS: Emo boy? I haven't seen him. I've seen Cat Lady, Old Guy, Super Pumped To Help You Guy, and General White Trash Girl most often.

Are you guys moving a really tall load or is the water levels for the rivers up and that's making the bridges short for you guys??

Water levels are up substantially. Current river gauges for the mississippi below Cairo, IL are all what we consider 'high water'. Hell, Cairo is expected to hit flood stage. My boat has an air draft of about 50ft, so even normally there are some bridges we squeak under, this high water doesn't help.

FWIW, in less than 2 weeks, Memphis will have gone from a gauge of 2 feet to about 24 feet. A lot of water coming off the Ohio and points northeast.

My neighborhood is very nice. Big lots, nice houses, lots of woods, lower population density. I very much prefer it over your people packed into tiny apartments type of neighborhood.

That's equally quiet, and much closer to work. I trade lack of yard for commute. I can live with that. :p

I thought it might be that. its been pretty wet around here lately. The mess that got dumped there earlier this week isn't going to be helping you guys any.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Good Morning Lodge.

Cripes I am getting FOAD letters from places for positions I didn't even apply for now.

I am joining Scarlet in sharing a virtual drink. 11 1/2 hour day today. This is after 2 10 hour days on M and T. And it's not looking better tomorrow.

Word is they are hiring 4 more people, it's just a matter of getting the applicants, and processing them. Thank Parise I have Fri and Mon off this coming weekend.

Does anyone else see a possible connection here? Now maybe SOH is looking for something specifically in his field and has no interest in forklifts, but maybe BPH or another local poster might be interested. Brent could also reach out on GPL as there have been threads there before about job searches. Just a thought...
