Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Mine is synced with my facebook friends. Anyone else that has the game I can start a game with by just playing a word.
I did that too, but until JF explained it some more, I didn't realize that I had to actually go to my list of friends and pick someone to start a game with.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

It really wasn't that bad for me. I think I got enough of a snow ice mix when it switched over to make it fairly bumpy. that plus once I hit 12 its usually pretty well taken care of. Only real problem this morning was all of the Idiots who drive like Maniacs anyways on dry days to just get to work on time that were causing problems.

Slides Scarlet a chocolate cupcake, a gift card for a massage, and slowly backs away....
I'm taking the advice that you've been doling out and have scheduled an hour long Swedish Massage and a Sugar Scrub for a few days after my final exam this semester. I've had mixed feelings about the previous massages I've had. Some people are too talkative and some of the women aren't strong enough (I've had 2 great male masseuses at the place my mom and I go to in Florida).
Geez... is there anyone in tLodge that is NOT having a bad day?!

I had a much worse evening than day, however the lack of sleep is causing me to have a bad day.
I'm having an improved day over yesterday when what was supposed to be a 14 hour day on the ambulance that should have been relatively quiet turned into an insane 18 hour day that lasted from 7am - 1am instead of 7am-9pm. So, comparatively, my exam today should be easier on the stress levels.

And the surgeon visit went well. No talk of cutting at this time, 1 in 3 chance it can be handled with PT so we start there.

Of course, on the right one we did a few months of therapy first before the surgery.

Also, it is not limited to Facebook. As long as you have an email address registered with them, you can connect.

:ducks head and raises hand: Had a cup of coffee this morning with caffieine and have been in overdrive ever since- baked apple muffin cake, blueberry muffin cake, packed 2 1/2 gals of kielbasa soup to freeze, made the dinner for tonight, did a load of laundry, hung it out, folded 2 loads, did the dishes, went to the market, the Hallmark store, the Christmas tree shop, Michaels (craft place), went to the farm for milk and got Lil from practice. Phew. Coffee is bad for me.

What. A. Day. Crisis finally averted. Got an approval, I sent out what needed to go out (even though it was not my job to do that yet somehow wound up being that) and actually got a thank you. I feel like forwarding approval email to a bunch of people here in case I walk out of here tonight and get hit by a bus and then the client freaks out tomorrow and gets mad. That way people don't have to figure out how to get into the system to see why I moved forward with doing what I did.

I'm off to see hottie bartender and have a lovely glass of wine. Or two. I know it's Wednesday, but it was that kind of day.

Actually, I'm having a good day. Tried a new coffee flavor at the CIM's coffee shop, did well on my written final, and just need to finish my Nutrition project tonight.

And goldy's right: don't ever try to beat me in drinking coffee. You will not win.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

I currently have a 19" SONY TV. I don't remember when I bought it, but the manual says 1979. :D

So my 1987 model will be a major upgrade! :D

It hasn't been a bad day for me either, though Target gets some ire for not having a bin that I want.

I had 1/2 a cup this morning, first coffee I've had in years. Not even sure why I had it other than it was free:D. It was good

Cripes I am getting FOAD letters from places for positions I didn't even apply for now.

Good evening Lodge.

Almost finished Xmas shopping. 90% of my shopping was online.

Ohhhh really? Hahaha, I actually haven't been drinking coffee at all recently, but usually when I'm on the boat I can throw back some coffee.

Been a bad couple days on the boat. Hoping that we don't end up losing our run because we're too tall for some bridges, but it doesn't look good. Might be sticking around baton rouge/nola/greenville MS for the foreseeable future.

If you was really following my advice, you would have booked for a 90 minute session. I always feel so rushed trying to hit everything in an hour, even when its just all fluff and buff relaxation they want. that extra half hour really lets the MT take their time and really work the knots out.

Are you guys moving a really tall load or is the water levels for the rivers up and that's making the bridges short for you guys??

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

I am joining Scarlet in sharing a virtual drink. 11 1/2 hour day today. This is after 2 10 hour days on M and T. And it's not looking better tomorrow.

Word is they are hiring 4 more people, it's just a matter of getting the applicants, and processing them. Thank Parise I have Fri and Mon off this coming weekend.

I'm not really a college football fan at all and don't really hate U of IA. I just have fun with it because my buddy gets so passionate about all things Hawkeye.

You were asking about the stadium, not the whole city experience on gameday. The stadium itself isn't anything special. Before the game, like I said, is where the fun is for the couple games I've attended.
True. It sounds as though you have a good friend though, if he's passionate about the Hawkeyes!;) the gameday experience is phenomenal, and for seven saturdays a year there's no place I'd rather be. I really, really wish Minnesota could have something even close. There is zero atmosphere there, and if they turn it around, that can be a loud stadium.

Minnesota still has the trump card of not being located in the god forsaken ****hole known as Iowa.
