Coralville Mall. Younkers. He and his wife just moved there (for her career) and he just needed any job that paid any amount of money.
That's a beautiful mall. Ice rink and everything, I would think that's a good place to work for the time being.
I was at that game, too. The crowd didn't cheer for me.

They showed a shot of Ashton on the big screen and the place went nuts. There's not a lot of native Iowan celeb sitings in IA City.

I'd imagine she's talking about Kutcher sleeping around on Demi, causing their marriage to end.

You did get to see the greatest comeback in Iowa Football history, one of the few highlights of the season!:p Have you been to Kinnick before? How'd you like it?

Don't you have to add 1, 2, or 3 to some other number? Sounds like math. :)

Not to me. It sounds like arithmetic to me. I have this argument with my wife, well I used to but gave up.;) To me the simple functions you could find on a four function calculator are arithmetic. Math is geometry. algebra and above. You don't need any understanding to do arithmetic, only memorization.

I'll remember that in the future. BTW, can I tell that to the people in fast food places who get befuddled when the price of something is for example $9.26 and I give them $10.01 so that I don't get back pennies and nickles in change? (Usually I dig out the penny after they have already punched in that I have given them $10.00.) That doesn't require geometry. :D

You should be nicer and not confuse the stupid people.

You can tell them that, but understand that they never conqured arithmetic either. They need a calculator to add 2+2.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

A Catholic priest, an Indian doctor, a rich Chinese businessman and an Italian from New Jersey were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers in front of them.

The Italian from New Jersey fumed, "What's with those jerks? We're waiting fifteen minutes between shots!'

The Indian doctor chimed in, 'I don't know, but I've never seen such poor golf!'

The Chinese businessman called out, 'Move it, time is money!'

The Catholic priest said, 'Here comes the greens keeper. Let's have a word with him. Excuse me, sir!' said the priest, 'What's wrong with that group ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?'

The greens keeper replied, 'Oh, yes. That's a group of blind fire fighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free anytime.'

The group fell silent for a moment.

The Catholic priest said, 'That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight.'

The Indian doctor said, 'Good idea. I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist colleague and see if there's anything that he might be able to do for them.'

The Chinese businessman replied, 'I think I'll donate $50,000 to the fire fighters union in honor of these brave souls!'

The Italian from New Jersey said, 'Why the fuch can't they play at night ?'

Mmmm, good dinner tonight! A pair of grilled bacon wrapped medallions of fresh venison tenderloin, smothered in a sauteed mushroom and onion raspberry balsamic reduction. Redneck boy can cook! :p
