Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Morning!

Still fighting off this cold. Thankfully it has not become overwhelming. Dayquil FTW.

At least in my generation the fools that mixed the 2 didn't do it in a way that made them need to pee.
Explain to us how you mix and then drink 2 liquids without ever having to pee? :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

I heard that rumor, too. And standing next to me, looking ever so dashing in a gold jersey, was my darling husband. :D

Greetings, Lodge!

I'm back at my mom's after spending a week and a half-ish in Ohio/Michigan.

Good news, everyone! I have a job! Well... Pending a background check. Plus, I've got rec bouncyball scorekeeping.

Now, we just need to find the hubby a job...

Congrats.

Doesn't bouncyball scorekeeping require math? ;)

Good morning, Lodge! Three cups of coffee down, about 40 more to go...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

I have no idea how you can function drinking that much coffee.

What makes you think he can function? ;)

Morning Lodge.

After much prompting and prodding the yabos in Rochester (MN not NY) got their tournament figured out and our bantam team is all set for this weekend. Checked into what to do with the boys between games and the answer for Rochester apparently is, "ummm, not much. Maybe bowling?" So we're taking them bowling on Saturday between games.

Yeah, Rochester is not a young person's town.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

Hmmm, Rochester...you could take them to the Apache Mall...and that's about all I've got. :p

They do have a nice Fleet Farm there, and of course there's the hospitals, but really not much for younger people unless there is a specific event/game/concert going on at the Civic Center. For the 21+ crowd, I've been to a comedy club in Rochester that was pretty fun, and I know of a couple other bars that are good, one that has an excellent live music venue, but unless Goldy is going to supply fake ID's for the entire team, that won't be much help.

Yeah, not this team. There are some bantam teams that could pass, but we LOOK like 13-14 yo kids. If it was colder and snowier there might be something to do, but not now.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 140: The Brave Days of Old

I wish it would snow again here. I want some snowcover so I can go coyote hunting before christmas.
Part of me misses snow, but part of me is ok with it being snow-free for a little longer. It'll be a brutal winter anyway if the forecasts are correct :o

Morning, Lodge. Still waiting on notice for a job - turned in the application two months ago, interviewed one month ago today - that for some reason insists on doing all of its correspondence by US Mail.

Its a test. You're a history guy, they want to make sure you understand the operation of a historical communication method.

And he will cheer with me when a common good can be gained. No one really likes State anyway.

I cheer for UMD along with Mrs. Gonzo, as long as they're not playing the Gophers :)
