Are parade routes usually this short? 12th to 7th and then down to Target Center? That's maybe 10 blocks at the most.

They're all in a hurry to get out of town and go to their real jobs - pro basketball in Europe. No time for a long parade.

Besides, even with bandwagon fans, that's plenty of room to line up all the Lynx fans.

Not at all, just reality. Some of the players are on flights later today to go join their european teams for a longer, more lucrative season than the WNBA has. The crowd to celebrate this victory on a gorgeous sunny day will be less than 10% of what came out on a cold, blustery day in '91 to celebrate the Twins WS win. Where is there hate in that?

Besides, women's basketball is one of the most boring sports on the face of the earth.

Lacrosse isn't that bad. They hit each other with sticks and it's kinda like hockey on grass. Bowling is fun to do, but I can't imagine watching it.

Thanks and thanks to everyone else who posted.

I am not involved in the ttp for the Lynx. I gave a bid but the Lynx only allocated $15.41 in the budget for a ttp. I would need at least three times that for their ttp. I am saving everything up for the ttp that I will be organizing for the Queens and the Mild. Rose Bowl ttp is currently on the bubble.

The good news: I don't have to go to Grand Forks this week.

The bad news: I don't have to go because I will be spending more time in Green Bay.
More bad news: I still have to go to Grand Forks next week.

Did JF go down to witness either the Lynx parade (I saw the last two carloads of players and some other guys in cars) or to see the OWSers march on Wells Fargo? I suppose he could see the OWS group from a window in his building.

I was busy doing my nails or something and missed the Lynx parade.

However the OWS people walk right past my building, as we are across the street from the Government Center. Sounded like they were chanting "less filling! tastes great!" from my floor. :D

boat shoes are unbelievably popular nowadays among high school and college kids..it's crazy. "Sperry" brand shoes are the designer style everyone around here wears.

Well, one test down, two classes and a night in the library to come. Is it Thursday yet?:p
