Morning Lodge.

The more I read about what Portera has done (not just hockey related) the more I think he needs an interview on The Daily Show or Colbert Report. You know, one of those interviews where he spouts stupid crap and they make it obvious how full of ***** the guy is.
A most capital idea!!!

Need to stop somewhere tonight to get some fuses for my car.

Afternoon all!

It's been a busy week, but a few more hours and it's over for me!

Should be a fun weekend, Mavs have the bye week, and I'm headed to the U for the weekend tomorrow after a round of golf, for the "Big" Floyd of Rosedale game on Saturday! Go Hawks!

p.s. I think I may be at the *hockey table for the whole year..

Here's hoping you are at the * football table Saturday night!

Who hates Iowa!

We hate Iowa!

I think I'm going to leave work early. They can't complain too much about it when I have to be up at 2:30 for work tomorrow to drive to Grand Forks, then drive back tomorrow afternoon, right?

Ewe,

11/5 Saturday is a home game against BU. Considering what I've been through it'll be great to be back. Told my father I'm paying for food/ticket/gas.

Ralph,

2 years in, I need 3. I had my hopes of QSI (quality step increase) dashed because they're handed out incredibly sparingly... Disappointing as I expect a DOC medal in the next year.

I took the "easy" way to IA City (35 to 80). Still almost got lost. I was looking for Exit 137....driving on 35.....there IS no Exit 137. Uh oh. Stopped at a rest area, then realized the exit they were talking about was just outside Des Moines, 50 miles further down the road.

So I thought I was lost, but wasn't. Dunno if that counts. :o

And wow, is that a boring drive.

Jebus, you added over 50 miles and nearly an hour versus the more direct route. It's not that frikin hard.

I didn't get lost, though. That's the important part. And according to Yahoo Maps, it was only about 1/2 hour difference. Including 2 tank-refill stops, and the stop at the rest area, and dealing with Mpls rush hour on 169/494, I made it in 5 hours. I can deal with that. :)

Edit: and a 20mph slowdown for a mile, due to a Charter Bus in the ditch along with a car, with paramedics and a dozen cop cars on the scene.

I can't believe Brent didn't know where I-80 is - I'm quite certain those of us who have driven between Minneapolis and Denver have mentioned it and its suckitude (particularly in Nebraska) many times. Given that to be true, it'd be reasonable to conclude an east-west interstate that passes through Omaha and Lincoln would also pass somewhere near Des Moines as well. Crimony.

Got the chipped ECU for my car back today and yeesh does it make an awesome difference. Significant boost in performance and no loss of fuel efficiency (actually will probably be a touch better once I quit driving so hard on it). And with the cold air intake it makes the turbo whoosh that much more noticeable. Happy happy.

Going up to the mountains in the am for my last weekend of hunting for the season. Hopefully we see atleast a deer this weekend.
