Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 138: HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!

Good Morning Lodge.

Got an e-mail this AM from my cousin in Indiana that his son is in town performing tonight. Nice notice. Now to see if we can make it and if the kid wants to go. He was gonna hang with a buddy and have a sleep over while the Mrs and I were going on a dinner date.

Is there good place to eat in Spring Lake Park, or nearby?
There are standard chains closeby and Keys cafe is good, but probably not what you're looking for. As for local places there aren't too many, Moes isn't too far, but again, it might not bethe what you're looking for. Maybe Nicklow's? I've heard good things but never been there.

Morning, Lodge!

So my "niece" (German setter named Cassidy, helped raise her from a pup) has been basically by my side since I've gotten here. It's kinda cool that even though I see her 1-2 times a year, she instantly recognizes me. I wake up this morning, and I usually sleep on my side, knees bent, and there she is, nestled in the crook of my knees. :)

Tonight we may hook up with Almsy, and maybe Yager since he's back, dunno. Then back to the Cities tomorrow.

What time will Chez Rube be open for business? The way heels are being dragged, we're probably not making the Wild game.

I PLAN on being back by 5, to change and actually get dinner at TK's around 7ish. And have a pregamer. I can throw out update texts if need be. Anyone who shows up for dinner, I do have a $50 gift certificate lying around (long story) that I should use. That will go towards the dinner bill.

Remind me to either not drink as much or at the very least have some food when I go out on a Thursday night before a 9am Friday meeting with three direct reports of the President and CEO of my company.

Good morning.

Leaving soon. Got a Camaro to drive to Grand Forks. Finally a good rental and not some ****ty Toyota or Hyundai!

Made it to Fargo, Grand Forks next.

Camaro are fun.
Bet that was fun.

Head was not bad. Stomach was a little iffy. Better now that I've eaten and had coffee. :)

Caffeine always cures the morning after.

And big: I think Yager's back or will be back, as he asked about my location tonight.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 138: HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!

Good afternoon Lodge.

I was tired when I arrived home last night around 8 PM. Four days of long but very constructive meetings coupled with four nights of bars, drinks and late nights led to me being drained and out of gas. I am only 40 years old but I am no longer in shape to be living that lifestyle of bars drinking and very little sleep. It was nice to get home to see the wife and kids and sleep in my own bed last night.

Since 9/8 I have been away from home for 17 days. A few of my good friends are making the trip to Duluth to watch BSU sweep UMD. I was tempted to ask Mrs. g if I could make the trip for the weekend but decided it might not be a good idea. ;)

Remind me never to turn 40. :p ;)

This last hour of work on a Friday is a joke. We're basically all just waiting to go to the bar.

Black Friday planning has been officially started. My sleep pattern will be ****ed up that weekend I think...

If you guessed that i'm keeping the Camaro an extra night and taking it on my date, you are absolutely correct.

Back in Minneapolis. 16 hours after leaving.
