13 hour day yesterday. 12 more today. God knows what the next two days. We file extensions at the end of tax season, sit on the goddammed things most of the summer, and then run around with our asscheeks on fire at the last minute to get the dammed things done, because a certain someone running the place manages his time about as well as Stevie Wonder drives a race car. This is just for the corporations. We get to do the same chicken dance next month for the personals.

And I haz a headache.

Maybe you should mention how if you guys would knock out 1 or 2 of them a week after the April 15 nonsense has died down, then the boss man there wouldn't again have to pay out so much overtime when you guys come up against the other deadlines.


Afternoon all, sitting here with another 2 hours to kill at balance. I probably should go work on my notes from the ones I've already done today.

I'm there now - well, next door in Coralville at the Marriott. Almington and I plan to drive up to Cedar Rapids tonight to watch a USHL game.

ETA: We don't leave till ~6 and I can't set up my display till morning. Maybe I should hit the pool.....

Just home from the first XC meet of the yr. The good guys won and Lil was 2nd- first man for his team. Absolutely not expected. So excited. He took close to 50 secs off his best time. He isn't that excited. "it's just a race Mum."

Yep, April 2-8.

I really hope I'm off of work for that week or so, but I won't know until a couple months before that probably. I'd love to go up to Augusta if I am off the boat and we can find some tix.
