Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I am contemplating taking all of next week off of work. I have 8.5 days left to take off this year, 3 will be used for deer hunting. I'm afraid that if I don't use them now I will be too busy later in the year and they'll go to waste.

Go to the Fair! Every day!

You don't need to use any around New Years? I'd have to use at least 1 day if I wasn't already taking the last 2 weeks of the year off.

But you have an awesome pinball machine to come home to! :p;)

The most I've ever been was 10 out of 12. It gets old after a while.

JF: I have the 23rd, 26th, and 30th off already around the end of the year, depending on Vegas, I might take the 29th off also, which would leave me a half day short, but I can work through that somehow. I have a project where I have to have an engine running by the 31st, and I will have a very short amount of time to get the work done, so I'll probably have to be working between Christmas and NYE just to get that done. I already told them that my deadline is the 29th, because I'm planning on going to Vegas. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

I went to the fair every day for three straight. It gets REALLY old.

Especially if you are working. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Speaking of blowing large amounts of money, in two weeks I get to fly home and be in my sister's wedding. I estimate it's costing me an entire paycheck to do so, not to mention almost all of my remaining annual leave.

Normal people get to go on vacation to Florida or Hawaii or Vegas or to a state park or to somewhere else fun and exciting. I get to go to Saginaw.

Just ask her to bundle it with Xmas or something :p

As I'm guessing everyone knows or has guessed already, I was an exhibitor, so I wasn't working as in getting paid to do a job, but it wasn't all fun and games when I was at the fair. Especially when I was the low man on totem pole and got stuck with wash rack duty for about 3 different exhibitors for open class. Waking up at 5:00 to wash 30 head of heifers and bulls wasn't exactly the fun part. :p

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Hey kids. Back to work today. The traveling and jet lag hit me like a brick wall late yesterday afternoon. Bad headache, couldn't keep my eyes open. Took a two hour nap, woke up, had a bowl of cereal for dinner, went back to bed at 8pm. I feel better now. I didn't want to take off any more time so I made it into the office. Late, but I'm here. Trying to sort out all the stuff that happened while I was away. Thankfully, not that much.
Clearly you need some massage, and more of the fluff and buff type stuff. maybe some reflexology as well. you did spend a good part of the time walking around, so I would bet that your feet are pretty sore. Plus, Reflexology always just puts me out like a light.

Twitchboy just can't have nice things!!!!

Pity she couldn't have opted to have it another 2 months later, so you could at least somehow work in some MTU hockey perhaps.

It could have been worse. You could have been getting up at that ungodly hour to jerk off the bulls and service the heifers for the amusement of all them city folk.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Already! wow!

I know. Little g visited the dentist about a month ago and the dentist mentioned that he had two loose teeth. The two front ones on the bottom.

And what are the little g's gonna get?

I hope, for his sake, the tooth fairy doesn't wear a S&SS!

Who cares, I got mine and that's all that matters. :)

Tooth fairy, she wears much less than that in my dreams. ;)

I wanna see you get that tramp under the pillow!

I am married. Won't happen. However, I am sure there are quite a few Lodge members that would hit it. :D

and suffocate her so she doesn't talk!

Nice.

What is wrong with you?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Ask your sister to subsidize your travel expenses, or better yet, your parents. :)

I'm fine on money. Most of it I've already paid for, and if I didn't have a reserve saved up I wouldn't be running around buying things like pinball machines. And I gotta do it after all - it's family. It's just farking expensive to do, that's all.

I've already got plenty of people who want to spend my money for me. They're called Democrats.

That would be more torturous than going to Saginaw.

Eh, right now, boredom mostly....

But yeah, how else do ya think that steak gets to your plate Hammer?? Most of the time the bull doesn't do that much work, other than just get a happy look on his face when some cattleman comes in with a big gas powered vibrator. ;)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

As long as you guys make the Fair.....just sayin'. ;)

That. Is. Happening. Like I said, I'll take the route through Duluth and drop a certain sieve-l engineer at home if I have to. Fair. Me. Happening.

(There is still room at Chez Rube, correct?)

FWIW Little g will be getting a visit from the tooth fairy tomorrow!

I asked little g what the tooth fairy should bring him. His response, "kids chap stick, a tooth brush and a trampoline."

little g is awesome. :)

big gas powered vibrator. ;)

Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ. You're kidding, right?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

No. Not yet.

Before this last hack, the OP was able to lock a thread he/she started. I can't find that now. Any thoughts?
