Good evening, lodge.

Hog roast = success

That might be the best tasting pork I've ever tasted. And I drank massive quantities of booze, and felt great this morning :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

So ewe never said, was it indeed tcbg?;)

Congrats to both!

Brent, will the jeep make it to Bahston? How sunburned would you and bb get on that drive with the top down?

Hot here today so jr went to open skate before his soccer practice. Said they ran a lot in practice which surprised me, thought coach would take it easy and work on shooting or something (they need to work on shooting).

Oh it would make it to Bahston, but why the hell would I want to drive that long? There are things called "airplanes" you know. I bet you remember seeing the newspaper reports of the Wright brothers. :p

I think I'm in the final stages of peeling, though, and thank Parise for that.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

So...not too much to report these days. Busy with work and getting ready to start nursing school in the fall with clinicals...

Oh...and...

I'm enraged!

Yes lots of people are unhappy with the new conference. :p

Congrats!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 137: Counting the long summer days

Thanks, all!

(And Brent, what makes you think that you'd be invited to our Eastern hoity-toity gathering?! :p :D )

And, yes, it's tcbg who proposed. (And it was super-romantic for the interested parties.) We won't be getting hitched for a bit as we want to focus on $chool and career stuff for the immediate future. We'll see though - we're having dinner with tcbg's mom on Wednesday and my parents are coming up in early August. I'm sure they'll have plenty to say on the subject...and we will just take their input in stride. Since we've been talking about getting married for awhile, we've tackled some of the very vague planning (want to get married outside on either a beach or in a state park, no religion in the ceremony, groom will likely wear full Scottish kilt/get-up, etc.).

I figured you wouldn't want my kind around there. :p

If you're doing the Scottish thing, talk to Husky Nation/mel. They had handmade kilts/vests with the clan tartan, and they did an awesome job IMO.
