Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Brent: whenever you get home and online again, are we going to do anything for the draft next weekend? I know we talked about it, but we never actually made plans. I'm trying to figure out my plans are going to be when I get back into the MSP next Friday afternoon.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Erik seems like a really nice guy, but maybe a little dittzy. He never did send me the e-mail we talked about three times, he could never remember what we had talked about regarding schedule, etc. Maybe a concussion or two in his playing career.

He's got triplets, so maybe that's part of it? :)

I have no clue. I haven't talked to GLM in a while. Will try and do that this weekend.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Mr is texting like a madman. He knows the head of rehab for the Bruins. Like the guy is going to text back right now..... :p
Mr just texted me the pics he got in 0 dark:30 this AM of his friend hoisting the cup. Pretty coool.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I am dead tired. I spent several hours after work cutting up the huge oak tree that fell a couple weeks ago, and stacking the wood. I got it all cleaned up except for the trunk, which is too big for me to deal with by myself. Now I have plenty of firewood if anyone wants to have a bonfire sometime. Maybe next weekend.

Ok, let me know what you find out.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Bar bill comped tonight-W00t!! They were doing a photo shoot at the bar for their website and they thought they inconvenienced us. Which they didn't. When I ordered my first martini, hottie bartender was only able to give me one regular, instead of the one plus all the extra he usually gives me, because managment was hanging out upstairs. No worries, he usually overdoes it for me anyways and I told him not to worry. Had a second one, then a glass of wine. We were getting ready to leave and I said "Can I get the check?" and he says "No." That was a nice way to celebrate the Bruins win. :) He told me he's going to be working somewhere else on Fridays. My heart stopped a beat till he told me he wasn't leaving this place. Which was a relief!!

I know Dorkisak booked a couch at Chez Rube for the weekend. Depending on work schedule/what we plan, I wouldn't be surprised if MNS crashed here, too, for at least part of the weekend.

I'm up for whatever. I get older that weekend.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Thank you all for your kind words. We have no idea when the funeral is going to be, or even what the arrangements are. My uncle's stepsons live all over the country. I just hope it's done properly. I'm sure it will be, as they did well by my aunt when she passed.

I will be getting back into MSP at about 4:30, if people are doing the draft and I have tickets, I'll go straight downtown. Otherwise I'll have to give a co-worker a ride home, and I'll probably head back up to my house. If you, and anyone else, want to do a laid back bonfire and drinking night either friday or saturday, we could definitely do that up here, though Saturday would be better since I'll be out of town all week. Or if you end up planning something for your b-day, I'd be up for anything, I guess.

I work on Monday, so a Saturday bonfire would be fine with me, if we don't go out somewhere.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

cc to bbdl: Talking with GLM now, sounds like Fri is up in the air, but Sat is a "start early" night. As in, dinner somewhere DT Mpls. Then many drinks. Will keep you updated. And other locals, of course, who want to join.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Grrrrrr.... The website where my employer does its scheduling is down. I've been wanting to check out my schedule all evening, but I can't do it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

evening, just got done watch 6pm-midnight (0040 now), sleeping until 5 or so, then doing it all over again.

the boat is super nice, capt seems like a very fair guy who will definitely teach me very, very well. hopefully I don't mess this up, since this appears to be a very good place to be.
