Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I had a dream last night about college hockey..needless to say I was upset when I woke up..since us Minnesotans can't get summer weather, it might as well be hockey season, right?;)

Hi Mav. I saw Jutting's kid's name on a AAA roster with some kids my kid knows. I know back when they were squirts Jutting was up for the Edina Squirt A tournament. I think the 'Kato team met Edina in the final that year.

And bbdl: go on a date with her, unless you're exclusive with Reid's girl. What's the harm?
No, not exclusive with anyone. Reid's girl has seemed to go cold. We were chatting regularly, trying to figure out when we could go out again, and she suddenly went into a shell. She hasn't said anything, but the change was obvious. Maybe I'll try again in a couple weeks/months, give her some time. The funny thing is, I didn't even do anything stupid this time. effin' women.

Maybe she found someone with a neater hat than yours?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Unpossible...

Maybe, she found a REAL bullrider? Oops, wrong blonde...:p

Maybe he just moved too slow and she expected him to be making his schedule work to pick her up from Reid's when she came off work.

So, I get to drive to Chanhassen tonight for another kids' soccer game that may get stormed out. Our kids were scheduled to play this team in Victoria a week ago, but it called due to lightening. Maybe we'll get wet and have the game called again.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I think today is possessed. Soltice must do somthing crazy. After teh call from my Godmum I had to head to work. Pulled out of the development and got stuck behind a town tractor mower going 15mph. This wasn't enough. I was considering passing when a police car came flying from the other direction sirens blaring. A few hundred yds later another one, then the SUV cruiser, then a fire truck, then a rescue truck, then a ladder truck. I didn't know this town had so many emergency vehicles  And that was the good part of the day. Glad it is over. Going to pour myself a chocolate milk.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Interesting past couple days here, too. First yesterday having the power go out in the office at 9:30, then today.

Today was my uncle's funeral. Full Catholic mass, plus full military burial, as he was a WWII vet. I couldn't help but smile a few times during the mass, as I've got to think this was exactly what he would have wanted. When we came back to the church hall for the funeral luncheon, I barely got in the door when I was offered a drink. I thought, yep, that's Uncle Eugene for you, right there. I also got to see the last two of that generation at the funeral as well. There were 8 of them, including my grandmother and my uncles. There's two left. One of them is battling Parkinsons, and the other has battled cancer on and off. I think we know which one is next. The one is 84 and the other one is going to be 80 this fall. The one with Parkinsons is also hunched over a bit now. My dad told her that if she wanted a job, she could work for the road commission helping them make S-curves. She just looked at him and shook her head.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

Sounds like we all could use a drink... a strong drink at that...

Finally heard from the gf... got the 'I don't know if I want to be in a relationship right now in my life...' text. I'm hoping things can work out, but I think I know where it's heading. It'll be her loss if it is over, as I'm probably the first bf she has been with who is going to treat her well and not be an *******.

Women.. can't live with them, can't live without them.

WFT is it with texting everything? Shouldn't that be a conversation?

Some lightning and a little bit of thunder, but no rain. Just as long as it holds up another 40 min until Deadliest Catch is over.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

I think I effed up my knee today. I was just walking, took a step, felt my knee pop and then came the pain. If I walk normally, it is really painful, if I limp so I don't have to bend it too much, no pain whatsoever. I'm in the process of treating it with the best medical practice there is, I'm walking it off.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 136: Again?

*in' kids nowadays and their hoity-toity phones.

Back in my day, we'd break up with each other face to face, and the guy would have to endure a bunch of emotional hullabaloo and tears from the girl, and the girl would most likely throw stuff at the guy and cuss him out. The guy would call the girl a whore, and then afterwards get all depressed and have a fifth or two of good ol' American whiskey or a case of beer, and flush the "woe is me" crap out of his system. Ahhhh, the good ol' days.

Edit: bbdl, don't forget to rub some dirt on it.
