Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

Is there some sort of reverse directory that I can supply a phone number and find out who it belongs to? Got a text from some number for the second time. It's a wrong number. Don't most people have names in their contacts? How do you text a random person? It's not like calling a wrong number.

Try this

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

I just smashed the he77 out of my little toe.:( Just walking through the house, no hurry, and rammed it into a table leg. Smashed the nail into three pieces, blood coming from under the nail, and now the side of my foot -- where the little toe would meet the foot, I guess -- is way swollen out and purplish.

Les, I need meds! :p

Big ice bag on it now. At least I can flex my toes. We'll see.
I did that while tcbg was away at the FF. Had a good buzz on and was walking to the bedroom from the living room and smashed my foot right into the dang vacuum cleaner. Lost my buzz pretty quick and was down on the floor cursing like a sailor. Took a few bandages to get things clean. (Extensive injury seems to happen when tcbg is away - when he was at a game just before Thanksgiving, I nearly cut the top of my left pointer finger off. Cut right through the nail and well into the skin. )

Yikes! Pull yourself together, girl! ;)

Injuries like this make you feel really smart, too.

I'm here to help. Wanna make your little toe feel better and take your mind off the pain? Easy. Take a hammer and knock the $#!T outta the little toe on your other foot.

You're welcome.

You've been quite the comment-ful guy these days, Mr. A Shot and a Goal. If that is your real name! But I will try the hammer idea, and get back to you.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

Ready to post in the Bring out your Dead thread. Lil may be dead soon. Failing in a class with no homework because he didn't hit the send button- he forgot. Help me please. This boy is in for a world of pain. A+ for Stupid is a possibility. Do you tell your rabid parents it is "only a progress report" and expect that to fly? I think not.:mad::mad: The kid had an A in this class last quarter.

Why do teachers give kids an opportunity to do extra credit to boost their grade. Makes for awful habits. As witnessed by my offspring.
Tell him if he doesn't shape up, I've got a barn full of stall mats that need to get fixed. Heavy 3/4 inch rubber mats that have all sorts of pee and poop all over them, and the only way to fix em is to pull em out, and level out most of the clay that's under them, along with getting the excess moisture to dry out of it as well. By the time he's done doing all of them, it just might be time for us to start putting hay up. I would think that would wisen him up some Les.

Ah yes, the Gate Theory. The more painful thing you're feeling is the one that you experience the most. Its quite often why when I do some neck work, making that all feel better, people will say that now their low back hurts. It probably already was hurting, it just wasn't registering with them because of the pains in the neck they were having.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

Amen. He has been blessed with a good brain and the motivation of an idiot. Well. We own his itouch (he paid for it), he had to write a contract for himself about what he plans to do to fix things and he is currently on his best behaviour. He has lost things until he can have the teacher let us know he is back to being acceptable.

The kid isn't stupid. He just cruised thru Jr High and every time he had a low grade they gave extra credit. I hate that concept. Does not foster the idea of consequence.

welcome to college... oh, I'm sure you didn't want to hear that... but you really haven't been in a classroom lately. Kids have a coronary when they realize they can't take a sheet of notes into the exam room.

Busy weekend flew by. Conference golf tournament tomorrow, we win and we win the conference!(It combines regular season and tournament records.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

Travis E., (I can't rep you, I guess). I can email/FB you his full name. Nice guy. Photo-ed Sorrowseed CD release party.

You can't? Weird, why not?

The CD release party that I blew off? :) Yeah I'm no longer associated with that band actually. Not really doing anything metal anymore, to be honest. Well, stoner metal I guess, kind of a Sabbath-Corrosion of Conformity-Kyuss thing that's kindasorta metal, but that's it.

But yeah, could you FB me his name? Thanks!

Unfortunately, this is the reason many (not all) kids are going to college with little to no preparation these days, and then quickly failing out/coming dangerously close to failing out. There has been so much pressure put on the teachers to be critiqued/evaluated by the students grades, that they are "forced" to inflate them, or else they look like a bad teacher. It isn't Joe Schmoe's fault for being a lazy student, it's Teacher Mary's fault for not teaching well, despite being a great teacher.

As a student, I liked extra credit when it was given out, but I never felt it was something I should ask for or expect if I was doing poorly. Of course, most of my teachers still made us work hard and earn our keep in high school... not so much the case now (here, atleast).

Good Morning Lodge!

Bad news: It's Monday.

Good news: I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

Morning!

No more rain the rest of the week after today. I'll believe that forecast when I see it!

Heading to the Twins/Mariners game tonight. Not to see the Twins really.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 135: Rain, rain go away

Good Morning Lodge.

1 day at the office then I'll be heading back to Grand Forks to continue work on my project Tuesday-Friday this week. I think I'm just going to stay north for the long weekend once I'm up there, probably head east on 2, don't really have a plan yet.
