Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

So my last day here is 5/27 after a little more than 3 years with this firm. They just put my name tag on my work station today. :D

That way someone has to get paid to also remove it, unless it is detachable and then you can just take it with you.

This ain't the gov'mint. We have one guy who does the odd jobs around here and he finally was told to order the name plates for a number of us "new" people. The new guy who replaces me will likely pull the plate off along with the double faced tape that holds it on. And someday, someone may tell the office people to order him a new one.

8 hour physical. that place is inept at what they do. everything seemed to come out normal, pending blood/urine samples. about to go out to dinner again, then probably doing something fun later on. waking up early to do paperwork and then go on a tugboat for a ride! flying out of here at 350 central tomorrow through atlanta and then on to syracuse.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

The vendor that makes fun of me for being a SCSU fan sent me a proof for an order I have open with him. Then he sends another email with another proof. I open the attachement and it is a photo of a Hendrik Zetterberg Red Wings jersey. Best virtual proof ever! I later found out that he work for the St. Louis Blues part-time.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

Ugh... why do I get the feeling I may not get paid on Monday?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

Evening Lodge. I need advise from the Minnesota folks. My 80 year old mom had a stent put in an arterie that was 80% blocked today, and my wife thinks that there may be more problems. She has fainted a couple times in the last year so my wife (who is a nurse) is thinking there is something else going on. So the advise I'm looking for is where should I send her to see someone that really knows what they are doing? Since she lives in Grand Forks, maybe UM or Mayo?

If you think that it may be hear related you could also consider Abbott Northwestern, I know that they have a nationally ranked heart institute.

Sorry to hear about your mom, never a fun things to have to deal with.

Yikes. If you are looking at Cardiac stuff and they put the stent in they should have done a bunch of cardiac work up already. That is kind of weird

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

I had to laugh at one radio show I used to listen to, where the producer had to go for that particular procedure. The doctor looked at him, the guy looked back, and he said "I hate this part". The doctor's response: "Well, about the time you start liking it, is the time you can find yourself another doctor".

They have nearly a decade to come up with a better examination method before I turn 40. **** raising money for breast cancer. Let's start raising money to get rid of this horrendous procedure - or at least mandate that attractive women do it instead.

The few elders I know that need care usually use Mayo. They are one of the best if not the best out there.
