S'upp y'all

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

So, so tired this morning. Took my niece to see Bruno Mars last night. He was double billed with this weird chick Janelle Monae. Which meant I thought she was his opening act. But they had an opening act, some terrible band called Plan B. Concert started at 8pm. Which meant she didn't go on till close to 9pm, and she played an hour, which was about 50 minutes too long. He didn't hit the stage till 10:15. The show didn't end till 11:15. There were so many young kids there - why didn't this show start at 7:00? Or 7:30 would've been OK. I had to drive my niece home as she has school this morning. This concert was supposed to be on Saturady but was moved a couple of months ago to last night. Berklee College of Music had their commencement at Agganis Saturday morning, which was planned before the show was booked and then the show people decided they needed more time to set up so everyone agreed to move the show to Sunday. Oy. Got home at 12:45. It was difficult waking up this morning. Need coffee.

That said - he put on a great show. I enjoyed it. Just wish I didn't have to sit through two hours of crap to get to his performance. And I am choosing to not be embarrassed by seeing and saying hi to 5 members of BU's hockey team as they walked by while I was waiting to get into the arena.

I haven't heard of any of the people that you went to see last night, except for "BU's hockey team", I've heard of them.

Sounds like you're quite the aunt! Glad to hear Bruno was good live. Sometimes those concerts have awful live singing.

You should go to Fenway tonight..the twins need you!:p

Heh. I'd say you probably have heard a Bruno Mars song, but I could be wrong. He's pretty popular and has had two songs that were played incessantly over the past few months. I actually recorded part of one on my iPhone. If I could figure out how to post here I would. Do I have to upload to YouTube? Or can I upload to Photobucket?

MH14 - yeah, I'll be staying away from Fenway tonight. I have tickets to the May 17th game and I'm thinking of selling them. Now, if the Twins want to fly me out to Minneapolis for a game........

I'm starting to think the Twins must be a lost cause this year. I'm trying so hard to stay positive and just tell myself, they'll get healthy and turn it around, but i just don't know...

It's a long... long season. Still tons of time to get on a roll.

Afternoon, gonna shower and then go see how wet one of the courses around here is from all the rain we've had lately. Good day for a round of golf, 60's and sunny, light wind.

The training ship for my school left for Europe today... glad I'm not on that sucker, although they're going to some nice places.

Ditto.

Afternoon, Lodge. Oil change and rotating the tires today, woohoo.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

tLodge is still here?

For those who may have missed it in the lightning fast Extras Thread (or don't have Extra) I wanted to repost the invitation to my place for my third annual "I'm Still Alive" party on Sunday, August 28. Last year we enjoyed lobster, grilled goodies and a great summer day. I expect we'll have all those again with another special guest: The Blue Angels are making their final appearance in Maine that weekend. Tickets to the (former) Navy Base are upwards of $30, but they essentially perform in my backyard as my house is the mile marker for Runway 2. One recommendation I would make is bringing a canoe or kayak and watching from the river as 1) There are no trees and 2) They're right above you.

Contact me at ticapnews(at)gmail.com with any questions or if you think you'll be able to make it and need directions. More info will be forth coming as the date gets closer.

*shakes head* oh, mookie:

(715):

My last google search was 'bulk asian wives' I don't know either

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 134: Huh?

Mookie moved to Northern Wisconsin? ;)

Could be eastern (Menomonie, Eau Claire). Only reason I know that is a couple friends have that area code: one lives in Elk Mound (yes, where Carl Gerbschmidt supposedly lives), and one used to live in Menomonie.
