Found out the co-worker with pneumonia also has blood clots in his lungs. He's about my age. He's gonna be out for a while, obviously. I just don't know how common that is, or how easy it is to recover from. les...?
That is a fascinating hx although it is usually not pleasant to be fascinating to medical people.One of my coworkers has had a similar problem with clotting and other random 'common' illnesses and conditions (pneumonia, low testosterone) that pop up every few months and force him to stay home and telecommute for up to two weeks. It all started two years ago when he ignored DVT symptoms and landed in the hospital with a collapsed lung, nearly dead. They've been trying to pinpoint his problem, and think it's autoimmune, but can't specify what despite all the tests they've run.
