Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Its not what I do, meaning not what I went to school for and not what my job is. I'm an engineer most of the time. When this opportunity came along I had to jump at it, as is pretty obvious from the numbers I posted. Since I grew up farming I have to knowledge and resources to run the land if I do buy it, and still work as an engineer during the week. I also don't have much of a problem taking financial risks, especially of this type, since I can be backed financially by the family farm if its needed.

Sounds like a good deal... must be nice to be getting things done and working towards bigger things.

Just got home, really got to thinking that I should have just stayed at work and slept on the biomat instead of going all the way home.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Morning.

4:40 AM fire alarms are not my favorite. On the upside I went to bed early last night and that alarm was only 20 minutes before my actual alarm. But it was freeeeezing arse cold outside waiting for them to check the building.

There was light smoke in the corner hallway near my apt and it smelled like burnt plastic when I came back in. So someone must have done something stupid. Why can't people be stupid at noon?

So Fire_Walt_Kyle has a birthday today. Does that mean they were all born at the same time? I wonder how they picked this day.:p

boot walt kyle is the multiple person account. FWK is one person who revealed his identity. He walked in the same commencement ceremony I did, and his buddy sitting next to me didn't appreciate the things I muttered about him.

Speaking of NMU, campus and all the Marquette schools are on lockdown right now because of a "serious threat". I've heard everything from a gunman on campus who was caught to an online threat. Either way, just a bit scary.

Morning. Probably a solid 1/2 inch of ice outside this morning from the overnight freezing rain. 2 hour delay until 10am, however I have Wednesday off anyways other then work 9-12, 4-7.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Morning! Went to the gym in the Snowpocalypse this morning...only 3 other crazy people there. Got a short workout in, which is better than no work out. :o

Boss had to pick me up from home to drive me to work today as I don't trust my car and other drivers and he has a Hemi 1500? Mega Cab. I have to leap to get into it. :o

I was going to go to Ann Arbor to day to do a trade with stones, I was willing to go make it there, but my partner didn't want to go into work, as she didn't think her complex was open, and she does have kids to watch as well.

Good morning Lodge.

The good news. Beautiful blue sky/sunny day here in 320land.

The bad news. -18 with wind chill of -37.

You must genuflect when the great name of BC is mentioned. If you would just do that all would be well. :p

Need a RF. JD has little hockey knowledge, not much of a sense of humor but a whole lot to say. I am an "idiot". There are an awful lot of those on DI side. :D

:D Thanks.

Hmm, good question. In the UML recruiting thread we usually don't see much action with the trolls. Not sure what made him wander in there.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

It's another crisp day in Denver. Minus thirteen in my neighborhood with wind chill making it feel minus twenty-one. The weather guessers are saying the temps start to warm tomorrow with mid-thirties a possibility. I understand Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow today meaning at least another six weeks before Tech scores a goal. Time for another cuppa hazlenut java. Have a good day folks.:)
