Maintenance made some things worse.

- Adding tags loads a seperate page now.
- Using the link button in quick reply brings up a box with a missing page. So you have to add links manually.

Actually, I think some of my happier Valentines' Days have been years I was single, because there was zero expectation and zero pressure.
We had another tradition that made it fun no matter what. My parents, instead of ditching us with a sitter or leaving us home alone, made it a big family event. We'd make a nice dinner, deck the table out with candles, and exchange gifts and cards together. Plus, my family is kind of crazy, so it was more fun to hang out with them for the evening than with the guys I dated.

The Mrs. and I don't celebrate V-Day. The only thing we usually do is I will do something cute for her co-workers to see and she'll get me a card and something else. Nothing more than $20. Works well for us.

Apparently we're taking it up a notch this year as I just got a dozen roses delivered to me here at work! :o :)

Still being single and all at this point I'd see VDay as a day to do something nice but there's no point killing yourself over it. I think you just set yourself up for failure otherwise. Being in DC it's funny to watch people scramble all over themselves for the day.

Late into work... On monday... Again. Got caught playing an addicting fun game until 1am... My fault... Between that and my "awake to schedule" on Saturday and Sunday... Really annoying

Went downstairs to go see my internal clients about something and one says "I'm so glad you're wearing red today! The others here aren't." And I said "I have a game tonight, that's the only reason." Scooting out at 4pm to head over to the Garden. mookie - you aren't by chance showing up at this one are you? I think you've been to maybe one game this year.

I will have to remember this. I could care less about Valentine's Day in a romantic sense, but making it a fun family evening sounds like a great idea.

I think no mushy stuff occuring this yr. Lil has a meet, Mr is working. Oh well. I am going to booby trap his car with a noise making stuffed animal thing and a card but other than that I got nothin.

I have a few rental income-related questions to our resident tax expert(s) here.

For renting out a room in my primary residence, what expenses can I deduct to offset the rental income? Would association fees and utilities be the only two (no repairs were needed)? I'm assuming mortgage interest and property taxes would be ignored in this case as they are going to be claimed on schedule A. Secondly, since it's only a room, I'd have to take its square footage relative to the entire place and multiply that fraction times whatever I'm claiming as a deduction before entering the final numbers, right?

This schedule E crap is giving me a headache. :mad:

I met up with Flashy for lunch downtown, where I received my Valentine's Day surprise: tickets for the Wings/Wild game on Sunday! :D Now that's my kind of Valentine! :D

It started out as sort of a joke with Kat and I about "always spending Valentines Day watching hockey," since NMU seemed to always wind up at home that weekend. Since then, we've gone to various cities for a Valentines Day trip to watch hockey. This year? We made it to Detroit for the Wings/Bruins game yesterday. :)

Yep, Do wish you had let me known about it earlier, could have gotten you guys in at Vivo perhaps, and/or meet up with you guys after the game perhaps.

No scarlet, I am not going. On the fence for Friday. One of the boys has a game at 5p saturday, so I'm wondering if I want o head straight to the coffin... Game time decision.
