Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Not a big rug person. (insert jokes here)

Especially when the room is carpeted. The living room, dining room, and kitchen on the other hand are all hard wood. I'll have to think about an area rug for the upstairs living room for sure.

I read this as rub, not rug (afterall it was addressed to Monster.) Area rugs are the best. You can go to the carpet store, find remnants of rugs you would love to have but can't afford to buy wall to wall and have them bound for 1/4 of the price or less.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

do your inlaws question you about money constantly and tell you they'll drive you to the ATM? Do they have 16,000 in credit card debt and need 100 dollars from you like...now?

This flight attendant that I stay with in Greensboro. I offered her 100 bucks to stay there and she told me no problem, just get us the money when you can. Her future husband told me he'd take me to the ATM whenever I wanted. Like 6 times over. Dude, ****. I'll get you the money. *king relax. Then he sent me a text at 2 am telling me I still owed them money.

I mailed him a check. I postdated it. *k him.

Good luck with that. My inlaws bring a whole different set of issues to the table.

Good morning Lodge!

I am taking this Friday off from work as little g and myself are going to spend the day at the local ski hill (in the middle of farm country no less) to go tubing. Should be a fun day. Mr. shot, eat your heart out. :D

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Gorgeous winter morning in Denver. The thermometer dropped to minus fifteen in our neighborhood last night, but it's a brilliant sunny day in the low double digits right now. A warming trend is on the way as the temp is supposed to hit thirty tomorrow, forty on Friday and the low to mid fifties on Saturday and Sunday. We'll be on the slopes skiing, but the temps should be a quite comfortable low-to-mid-thirties in both Breck and Vail. My brother and his family arrive tomorrow and my wife and I will head for the hills after work Thursday for several days of skiing with my family. Really looking forward to it as both Breck and Vail have received lots of snow in the past four or five days.

That's what we had last night too. Yellow ones using ground turkey, mozzarella and stuff - very good!

Morning Lodge. Thought I would have to work an hour today at a booth in a trade show, but I got out of it.:) Long day of conference calls and stuff, need to get away at lunch to go sell my tickets for Gophers/DU Saturday. Kid is in another tourney then. Cold out still.
Made my peppers with 100% grass-fed ground beef and colby jack cheese; next time, I'm going to try stuffing them with quinoa or couscous and a mozzarella and parmesan blend.

Afternoon, Lodge. Laundry's done and folded, still need to do dishes, and start preparing tonight's dinner. Pork chops with roasted butternut squash.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

I don't know why I never think to make stuffed peppers. Maybe it's because I associate that with stuffing green peppers, which I'm not a huge fan of. Stuffed red or yellow pepper with turkey sounds awesome though. Better break out the recipe books tomorrow! :)

Hello, Lodgers! Putting the finishing touches on starting my own business (bakery, of course). Been spending a lot of time thinking about it. Just need a logo (have to pester the bf a bit) and to finish setting up the blog and FB page.

Busy with EMT class (have class every other Saturday in addition to Monday and Wednesday nights and both days of the Hockey East Quarterfinals weekend) & finishing my applications to nursing school. Still nannying.

Good for you ewe.

Mum just left. Had her over for her BD. Was supposed to be an afternoon thing and then she had a meeting. Made all sorts of food as it was supposed to be about 4 hours of hanging out. When it changed she was supposed to be here at 11 (her pick) and then showed at 11:30 (shocker), needing to leave at 12:30. Lots of eating occured quickly. I am stuffed. Made homemade lemon tarts, raspberry tarts and ginger conserve tarts, caramelized onion in puff pastry , mushroom in puff pastry, pound cake with fresh strawberries, eggsalad sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches, tomatoe with mozorella, garlic and balsamic vinegar. Had made a salad with proccuitto, balsamic maple vinegrette but that was apparently not sounding good so I left that for supper.

I also can't spell and am too lazy to fix it.

good for you. I hope it works. I'll compare your cupcakes to the Cupcake Truck and we'll see whose are better. :)

Then the Tampa Bay player shouldn't have tripped the Buffalo player in front of the crease. It was a good non-call.

I didn't say TB got hosed. Just Roli. He could have stopped that blind folded it upright. Could just imagine what he was saying. (Disclaimer- we know him from way back before he was famous.)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

You tell us. Being from Edina you are the official cupcakeologist of tLodge. :p

Edina eats cake, not cupcakes - that's the UND Fighting TBDs who schedule the cupcakes. Of course for Edina, most everyone else in the State is a cupcake, so there is that. Like when at a tournament some kid said to my kid "you're from Edina? I feel sorry for you." He replied, "yeah, me too, we don't have any decent competition." :p

If you need that shipping test run to AK, you know who to call.

Ok. Thanks for the clarification. Sloe Gin is a cupcakeologist and you are the cakeologist.
