Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

CC to MNS (or anyone else that cares, I guess): I may have found at least one more for the Memorial Day Vegas trip...we should book this thing if we're going to do it

if anyone else is interested, the trip is much cheaper than you'd expect, and you know it'll be a helluva time

So tempting......but I'm keeping this year as scheduled for major trips, since I only have a basic idea what they'll cost.

I'm hoping to get 1 or 2 others to commit to the trip, so we can book it, and get a room. Then if anyone else wants to go, but can't commit early, they can just get a flight at meet us there, shirtless guy is in that boat, he doesn't know about work yet, but wants to go. So if you change your mind or win the lottery, hopefully you can still join up late.

Well, two problems in my case:

1. Getting the time off of work. I still can't believe that I got July 1 off.
2. I swore that I would NEVER go back to Vegas (assuming a 4 night/3 day trip) without at least $1K spending money (meals/gambling/drinks/gambling/gambling).

I gotta do it right when (not if, when!) I go back.

Yeah, I understand. If you're going to go, make it worth it.

FYI, the trip would be from Friday night, hopefully with minimal time off work (there is a 5:00 flight and a 9:00 flight that could work) and flying back on Monday afternoon. Only 3 nights, and since it is memorial day weekend, hopefully no need to take off work. (I don't want to take off work for it, which is why I am going for that long weekend.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

I could easily make it work in regards to my work schedule, but am reluctant to confirm now because of money. I know I am going to Vegas twice this year already.

That Fri would be the problem for me with work (5pm is out of the question with no time off) and 9pm would be pushing it (no time off), given that if I packed, and actually parked at the airport, I still wouldn't get there until 8pm or later, given the current business and projections based on that business. Even if I pulled the "I can't stay late" card, it'd be about 7:15-30 at best for my arrival at the airport.

I don't drive a Chevy,

Morning.

Still cold outside.

I will probably be in the ATL around then. Usually I go earlier, but the family is going to Hawaii in April. So I have to move my trip back.

Thankfully I am all booked for July. :)

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Stuffed bell peppers are on the menu tonight.

That's what we had last night too. Yellow ones using ground turkey, mozzarella and stuff - very good!

Morning Lodge. Thought I would have to work an hour today at a booth in a trade show, but I got out of it.:) Long day of conference calls and stuff, need to get away at lunch to go sell my tickets for Gophers/DU Saturday. Kid is in another tourney then. Cold out still.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Have you been hanging out with my inlaws? If so.......... you poor sob. :D

do your inlaws question you about money constantly and tell you they'll drive you to the ATM? Do they have 16,000 in credit card debt and need 100 dollars from you like...now?

This flight attendant that I stay with in Greensboro. I offered her 100 bucks to stay there and she told me no problem, just get us the money when you can. Her future husband told me he'd take me to the ATM whenever I wanted. Like 6 times over. Dude, ****. I'll get you the money. *king relax. Then he sent me a text at 2 am telling me I still owed them money.

I mailed him a check. I postdated it. *k him.

You know what p*sses me off? People who sell **** out from underneath you.

I was buying a nice oak bedroom set (piered headboard, couple dressers, etc.) and told the person I would buy it. Stupid wh*re sold it to someone else despite me saying I would buy it.

Now I have to go out and find something else I like that also fits the room.
Go get a good floor rug. It will really tie the room together.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

Good morning everyone. I am sitting in a plastic shack in the middle of freezing cold. We have 4 space heaters in this 6x5 shack, so it is nice and toasty in here, just don't leave the door open! Big day today, we're going to try to run the engine on a new fuel that no one has run an engine on before, ever. I'm pretty excited.

I activated the 3G mobile hotspot on my Droid, so now I can logon to the internet in my little shack. :)

Brent would be so proud.

Sounds like all you need to do is get a few beers and drill a hole in the floor there and you could have a good way to spend the whole afternoon there. ;)

Not a big rug person. (insert jokes here)

Especially when the room is carpeted. The living room, dining room, and kitchen on the other hand are all hard wood. I'll have to think about an area rug for the upstairs living room for sure.
