Brent, here's a shot of crown XR. Diva, here's a Malibu and diet. I made it a triple.

Les, control this riff-raff!

Thanks, but I'm off booze until my race, which just makes *hit like the past two weekends even worse to deal with.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

I'll take that drink. Pour me four more of those.

* hockey with King Tuthankamen's mummified wang wrapped around Kristo's frozen toes, while Connelly reverse-cowgirl's Biddco. Complete with cowboy hat.

I don't drink either. Plus my tv is now dead. After looking around online, it appears this is an issue that would be expensive to fix (surprise surprise).

Am I the only one confused by the fact it is cheaper to buy a new tv than to repair one?

Is it a tube or flat screen? If it's a tube, try doing what I did with my last tv. Give it a couple of firm slaps on the side. Worked for about a month or two.

With the way tv prices are dropping, it's no surprise. It's like that with many electronics.

42" plasma. 5 1/2 years old. ****ing technology. The worst part is having to pay money to recycle this ****.

Most cities have a Recycling Day in spring. They pick up whatever you have and take it away, free of charge.

Guess I'll just have to throw this piece of **** into the storage room 'til then.

So, who has suggestions on what type of tv to get? Obviously, I'm not getting another philips since that is what I currently have.

Figure I'll opt for a 50" or bigger display this time around... HD is essential since I have a ****load of channels.

I like the Panasonic plasmas (3 of my friends and I each have them). Heard LED is the way to go nowadays, though.

Denver wins the game, gets a weekend split, moves into first place with Duluth and retains possession of the Gold Pan. The Shore Patrol [Nick 2 goals, Drew 1 goal] dominated the game for the Pioneers. Denver and Duluth are tied for first in the WCHA with identical records and twenty-nine points. Fittingly, the Hostile and Abusives are in sole possession of turd place. Enjoy the rest of your weekends LODGEONIANS.:D

There's a panasonic 1080p 50" 600hz (nice refresh rate!) plasma tv at best buy for a little over a grand.

There's also sony LED's for a little more than that ($1500-1800 for 55") I think.

Yay!!!!!!!

And Bakunin: Sony's are notoriously overpriced. I should know, I've owned Sony stuff for most of my life.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 129: Still got those Winter Blues...

I don't know if there's such a thing as an overpriced tv these days. Most of what I've seen in the 50-55" range costs less than I paid for mine in 2005.
