Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Just backed the family's minivan (Honda Odyssey) down the icy, inclined, narrow driveway (apparently dad isn't that into snowblowing or putting salt down) and into the garage without hitting a snowbank, sliding, or hitting my own car while the 3 girls were singing at the top of their lungs. I can't decide if I should be proud of that accomplishment or not.
You are posting while driving on icy roads with children in the car?

When it comes to work trips I've always been a big fan of Holiday Inn Express. Personal trips (particularly road trips) Embassy Suites is the way to go.

I like HI Express, Fairfield Inns, etc. Not the biggest fan of Hampton Inns, but whatever. Cambria Suites are also really impressive, but the Holiday Inn hotels are where I generally like to stay. I have points at pretty much every place, so it doesn't really matter.

It's one of the largest US corporations that's still privately held. It's official world headquarters is in Minnetonka. You should know this, being from MN and all.

I'd say suicidal, but that would just make Twitch think of Suicide Girls...

Nope - from safely inside the house. The idea of posting/texting while driving a minivan with children inside makes me want to stab people.

Speaking of Twitch - one of the girls has a stuffed hampster/groundhog/rodent from GUND (the teddybear company) and it's name is Twitch/Twitchy. I fight to laugh when I have to tell the little ones to keep their hands off Twitchy or to make sure Twitchy is tucked in when it's time for a nap.

I think as a rule of thumb its a good idea to keep your hands off Twitch. We don't know where he's been!

Morning. Just got an email to go pick up a refund check. From the looks of my account, it will be a cool $1750. Now I just need to have some discipline and not spend it all.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Good Morning, Lodge!

I hope that I can last one more hour here at work. I have a head cold. :(

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

Less than two days until my colonscopy. Tomorrow is going to be fun day.

You got no place to go, a bathroom should always be handy:D. Are you doing miralax and gatorade? I can never drink lemon Gatorade again:D

I bought lemon-lime Gatorade to mix with the Miralax (actually CVS's version of Miralax). Dicolax tablets are also on the menu.

I was actually due for this in midDecember but thought it wise to wait until I retired. I did this once before in December 2003. IIRC, Miralax was not on the agenda back then.

It doesn't work as well for me or at least not according to my GI:D I ended up doing it twice and will be subject to many more times with my GI Tract being screwed up. It ain't fun that's for sure but I guess there are lots of worse things in life

You could get sent to Grand Forks in January!

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 128: The Search for Wenches

It looks like the snow which blanketed the high country earlier this week is heading to Denver. Currently it's not snowing, but in the last half hour the skies have darkened considerably. Earlier this week Breckenridge--where my wife and I ski frequently--recieved thirty-one inches of snow at mid-mountain over a two night period.

Some prep days are better than others. Last time my wife had a prep day it was difficult for her. Last time I had a prep day it was quite easy for me. Regardless, the prep day is more difficult than having the procedure itself. It's generally a good idea to have someone drive you to and from your appointment, but you may be able to handle that yourself. An hour or two after the procedure has been completed you should feel just fine. Hope all goes well for you Ralph.

I have to have someone drive me home according to the rules.
