Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

good to hear Southern New England is getting hammered
Yeah, we're usually laughing at you northerners! :p

I know, I know we whined like little babies when we had 18" fall in December.
Just heard on the news that the next town over from me has officially reported 23", and it's still coming down. My guess is we've easily got 24" so far based on what I was pushing on the driveway. And it's snowing harder now than it was at 5 am!

The only whining I heard was complaining about people that don't know how to drive in the snow, and I was complaining about ****ty drivers too.
I have no problem driving in this stuff either. In fact, I drive a wrecker part time on the weekends so I'm usually out on roads. It's the other ***hats that think they're invincible in their SUV's and AWD's that frost my cupcakes!

For instance, there's a genius in a Subaru beached in the middle of the intersection up at the corner. He's trying to use his snowbrush to clear the feet of snow from around his car. If I was still out in my truck I might be inclined to go help him but since I'm sitting with another cup of coffee and some fresh made blueberry muffins I'll just watch the ****show! ;)

I'm in California. It's supposed to be 70 degrees today. :)

21 and mostly cloudy here. Pretty standard.

In other news, I think our mailman is Santa. Seriously, the only thing missing is the sleigh and reindeer, it's incredible.

Who wants to start a "Lebanon is going down the Tubez!!!11!!" thread?

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

I just finished booking a cabin in Estes Park for four days and nights in conjunction with a family wedding taking place this summer. My wife and I are familiar with the establishment at which the wedding and reception will be taking place and greatly enjoy it. Terrific restaurant and a gorgeous, small, mountain-town feel to the entire setting. Really looking forward to the time we'll spend there and all the events surrounding the wedding.:)

I have not become more sensible now that I am retired. :D This was not the day to go downtown for lunch in order to buy a lobster roll from a food truck, http://www.redhooklobsterdc.com/. Then again, there were close to 100 other idiots waiting in line behind me. Holding a cold drink, even without ice, makes one's fingers freeze when the wind chill is at 17 deg. I seem, however, to have recovered.

I didn't know that wind chills could get as warm as 17 degrees!

So did you have Maine based or Connecuit based lobster roll

Double double protein-style. Add ketchup. And a neopolitan shake.

What up

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 127: So This is the New Year...

It got up to 20 today, I wish I didn't have to work so I could be out enjoying the weather. I need to get out snowmobiling sometime.
