Happy Friday, peeps! (though I'm working tomorrow since I had yesterday off). :(

What a sucky day to have off. I think I need to come into the office tomorrow as my desk is a mess and I need to organize things. I can never find time during the day to do that.

My friend that just beat cancer (yay!) is back at work and can now join me on our regular Thursday night drinks. It was good to have her back. We went out last night so she and another friend could treat me for my birthday a couple of weeks late. They brought cupcakes! Hottie bartender brought them out and joined in the singing.

No hockey tonight. I should relish the night off and start packing for my trip next week.

We just got a business update from the higher-ups here at the company. This year is going so well that there is a potential for me to get a 5-digit bonus. :D

bb_dl is staying in tonight, but if you want to come over, I have plenty of drinks. :)

100.00 has 5 significant digits, but I'm not referring to significant digits. :p
The numbers I'm referring to are precise enough to be measured down to the 100th's, at this time.

WHy bother whining to someone who has no power to change anything?

I was in an unusually ornery mood. Couldn't help it.

Was this in Philadelphia or Toronto?

Philly. Toronto security is very straightforward. All of Canada is. No changing the rules like they do in America every other day.

Went for a run in Toronto. Followed by delicious Tim Hortons. Yeah, Canada is alright. :)

You can get the paint off the trim. I forgot exactly how, but it is doable without ruining the trim.

That's what I've heard. It's just frustrating. I do think the trim on the upstairs bedroom doors is ruined though. They decided to nail some sort of enamel trim OVER the wood trim, didn't fill in the holes, and then just painted over it. It's truly bizarre.

Oh, just being yourself... :p

yesterday I was more ornery then usual though...it was a combination of a bad day in Philly + the weather + my workout that day was really crappy

Unless it's some really great trim, or you have lots of time on your hands, you're probably better off to just replace it.

I thought it was ALWAYS SUNNY in Philadelphia....I know...bad joke!

Glad I'm not on the list to be hammer punched :D

Yeah, that is pretty strange.

This is true.

It was ok. Probably not worth the time. It's just bizarre though. Make me wonder what else they were too lazy to do correctly (electrical, piping, etc.).

If you are a season ticket holder for DU hockey, your tickets are sent to you by mail before the season begins. One of the physical traits which distinguish season tickets from tickets purchased to an individual game is the picture of a Denver player which appears on each ticket within a season ticket package. In an ironic twist, the player pictured on the ticket for tonight's game between DU and CC is assistant captain Jesse Martin.

I've found some interesting work that was done in my house since moving in, nothing too bad and nothing really unexpected but strange nontheless. In the bedroom that will be my sister's, we knew that the sheetrock would have to be replaced on one wall, it was in tough shape, from what looked like some kind of water damage. But there was no signs of any other water damage in the house. So we tore off the sheetrock and found that there had, at one time, been a window on that wall, that had been replaced. They filled in the window so they could run a water pipe through the wall, for an outside faucet. Well, the chunk that they replaced was really half assed, so I'm going to just replace that section of the wall, it won't be too tough of a job and it should be done. I also shut off the water pipe, since we are assuming that the water damage came from that pipe. I will run a new outdoor faucet out the back of the house, so then it won't have to run so far along the wall, it can go straight through. At least I haven't found anything major yet...
