Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

So Red, Let me see if I understand the situation as you've described it. The aforementioned party of the first part--a Mr. Puckman--did approach and knowingly touch the party of the second part--your kid--thereby scaring said party of the second part and causing said party to emit a scream. Hmmmm.

Sounds like you have grounds for litigious action. I'd ask for damages including, but not limited to: 1) Forfeiture of the party of the first part's costume and/or ornamental regalia; 2) Season tickets to the team of your choice; 3) An immediate and full loss of all rep points belonging to one Mr. Ralph Baer--a known associate and obvious co-conspirator of this Mr. Puckman creep. 4) All future "free ice cream" accruing to said Mr. Baer be sent to the aggrieved party--your kid. 5) Plus cash, lots of it.

CHA is already offering to make it a class action suit. :D

new chicken wing place opened up in town.. they have steak&cheese and chicken subs on the menu that remind me of the great Hungry Herb's. they have a 'breakfast cheesesteak' that appeals to me -- steak, bacon, sausage, eggs, american cheese. :D unfortunately though they don't open until 11am!!! (noon on sundays)

Is the site still slow for you guys? The main page is taking a long time to load. And the page to sign up for Extra still doesn't exist. I contacted the site but haven't heard back yet.

it's starting to speed up for me. I'll have Quiz call some people tonight.

Anyone in DC want to hang out tonight? I've got a kick-arse hotel in Georgetown

This could be a caching issue. Our browsers had the previous website almost entirely cached I'm guessing. THis new one has numerous new graphics, webpages, etc.

Loading pretty smoothly for me.

Evening, Lodge. Had a great weekend in Detroit; didn't want to go to class today, but it wasn't so bad...

Maybe I hate America, but American cheese is overrated and overused. Stick some Colby Jack on that beast and call it good.

Slow to load for me too, but not more than a couple of seconds. Hopefully it is a caching issue, even though I suspect the site is loading more things as well.

Uh-oh. I think I broke the Adrian thread. I can't scroll down past the third post.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

I can't get past post #57. I know what the problem is, I just can't fix it.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

I had no problem getting through the whole thread.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

Having continuing problems being asked to log in each time I access the site. And yes, I have checked the remember me box. Post-upgrade glitches I guess. Hope they're addressed soon. G'nite all.

When you break a thread and want to fix your post, just go to "view source" in your browser. Search for the offending post and figure out the post number within the HTML. Then you can use the "edit post" buttons URL in a blank browser window along with your post number to fix the problem.

Example: To edit a post the link is; http://board.uscho.com/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=xxxxxxx

The xxxxxxx being the post number you found in the source code.

The source code will look something like this: div id="post_message_xxxxxxx"

You still have to be the author of the post to edit it though. So don't get any funny ideas. ;)

And in this case, the url to edit it would be http://board.uscho.com/editpost.php?do=editpost&p=4891059 ;) (I looked it up, and I think Hammer forgot to close the last < /style > tag.)
