Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

Morning Lodge

Ended up having to work yesterday for most of the day, driving the combine. Couldn't make it to OC, Brent.

Hauled some more stuff up to the house, now I have a couch and chair. I just need some end tables and a coffee table and I'll be set for now except for some small things. Got some tiles down last night, in the corner where the wood stover used to sit. Haven't decided what I'll do with that yet, though I'm leaning towards putting in a corn stove. Also started getting more stuff put away, but I still have a pile of boxes in the garage to sort through.

Thanks guys. Oh Brent - heard an interesting rumor tonight about the 2011-2012 season. Potential BU-Minn outdoor game at the new UMinn football stadium. You guys hear anything about that?
Wow, MN is willing to go to great lengths to get a win on that field, unfortunately, the hockey team may not be the best choice...
And people still ask me why I'm not on any of those sites.
The problem isn't with the websites, its with people being extrememly stupid.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

Morning, Lodge. I'm friends with a good number of my coworkers, but I also don't post stupid messages about how I'm going fishing or drinking or streaking when I know my bosses are on there. :p For that matter, I don't post much at all on Facebook, really.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

Good morning from a gray Denver. I hope everyone has a good week. Even WTW, who apparently has not yet mastered the intricate complexities of how to send rep. Have one of your students help ya with that big guy.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

I probably shouldn't post links to my blog (where I ***** about work in what I hope is an amusing way) on Facebook, but I've really stopped caring about my job. I'm friends with 2 coworkers on Facebook and 2 former coworkers. I'm only slightly concerned about it.

Morning Lodge.

Mornin' Loj! My boy is officially scared of Puckman. He was fine watching him from afar, but when Puckman came up and touched him, he screamed. Maybe CHA was on to something.....

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

Thinking of launching a small-time bakery out of our apartment. Just floating the idea to see what people (particularly local to Boston/Manchester) think. Thoughts on ads (I'm thinking webpage with FB page and Twitter account), feasibility? Any interest in ordering :p ?

I would need some free samples first. :)

There are quite a few mobile cupcake/mini-bakery outfits around this area that do quite the business. They've been around for a few years now, so they seem to have some staying power. Whatchu got for wheels?

This.

Your blog is awesome. I plan to share with my co-workers.

'ewe: Are you able to do that according to your lease? I know that many leases say that you can't run a business out of the apartment, but I'm not sure how much they enforce it or how they define "running a business out of". Don't want you to get in hot water with the landlord! :p

I was just about to (green) rep you...

Toyota Camry. I was thinking something more like pick-up at my other job (nanny-ing) or delivery or pick up after traditional work hours. I can't really just quit this job and try and sell cupcakes out of my car just yet.

Since I'm guessing I'll make less than 100$/month, I'm not sure it will really qualify as a business. The lease we're in is pretty basic: rent$, no pets, don't destroy the place, only 2 cars in the driveway overnight.

Still just in the thinking phase. I may ponder more while away on vacation next week.

Make sure you think about local, state and federal regulations regarding food sales to the public. There may be some strict guidelines when it comes to food like nutritional labeling, ingredients, etc.

Here in CT my mom had to stop selling her homemade jams & jellies and canned vegetables because of labeling requirements (not to mention all the necessary permits require to be a "food vendor").

Pretty sure your roommate would be all for helping/tasting. :D

Afternoon Lodge!

Spent the weekend with Juneau lady friend, and am now sitting at SeaTac on my way down to San Diego for a conference.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 123: Our polls are going down the tubes

My kid needs a social secretary. He has something for XC every night this week but one and then he is going to be at hockey. At least now we just drop him off and it is close. Glad that he is into good stuff however the timing reminds me of breastfeeding. 2 hours here- 2 hours there. Not enough time to get anything done before you need to be back out the door.

So Red, Let me see if I understand the situation as you've described it. The aforementioned party of the first part--a Mr. Puckman--did approach and knowingly touch the party of the second part--your kid--thereby scaring said party of the second part and causing said party to emit a scream. Hmmmm.

Sounds like you have grounds for litigious action. I'd ask for damages including, but not limited to: 1) Forfeiture of the party of the first part's costume and/or ornamental regalia; 2) Season tickets to the team of your choice; 3) An immediate and full loss of all rep points belonging to one Mr. Ralph Baer--a known associate and obvious co-conspirator of this Mr. Puckman creep. 4) All future "free ice cream" accruing to said Mr. Baer be sent to the aggrieved party--your kid. 5) Plus cash, lots of it.
