Went to a chili competition today in Manchester (done by the International Chili Society). Pretty awesome...about 100+ competitors. Would have been more awesome if my entire body didn't ache. I have a sneaking suspicion that being outside in the chill and rain for 4 hours then driving home in wet clothes may be the culprit. Good thing I don't have to bake 2 cakes this afternoon or anything...
That blows. We were at Fenway until 11 waiting for the game to begin...and then it didn't.My band outdrew the headliners last night by a pretty significant margin.
But they had a guarantee that ended up being 15 times more than our pay.
I believe that's correct. Your body directs the liver to filter the alcohol out of the blood and thus you aren't in a "resting" state (if I remember correctly).IIRC, you don't get a good night's sleep after a lot of drinking because rather than focusing on rest, your body is busy trying to get rid of the alcohol, and it creates some sort of imbalance, or something like that.
