Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

January 1. :)

Congrats!
One of my buddies (who is younger than me! :( ) told me while back that he would be retiring on December 17 of 2010. I called him the other night and he had already retired. The City offered him a buy out and he took it. He's technically on vacation right now and will go back in the office one time when he gets back to clean out the office and then done.

Soo freakin jealous!

I'm jealous and I don't even know him!

Best case scenario I have 21 years................

When I'm 55 (12 years from now) I will have 32 years in....I'd love to retire then and start a second career teaching. :)

I think this may be a death-penalty case:

Red Pepper is overrated. Not saying it isn't good, it's just overrated.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

I must have missed something here. I've never even heard of it. Then again, the last time I was in Grand Forks my mind was on the prospect of not being able to leave when the catalytic converter went out... :P

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 122: Autumn has arrived.

I can't comment on Red Pepper, but the above is also true. :p

Val's burgers are meh, I agree. It's those fries.....oh man sooooo goood.

It's a local food dive, like Val's in St, Clooud. One of those places you have to visit whenever you're up there.

You know what? I've never seen anyone ever order a large fry from Val's. I wonder if the WHOLE sack gets filled then, and not just the bottom third.

Yeah, exactly. I go there every time I'm home. Good food but not great.

I was about to, but Weldie simply said, "Dude. No. Don't order the large. Just....don't."

Good idea in hindsight.

I'll say it isn't good, because it isn't. The food was horrible when i was there. I won't go back.

Yep val's sucks too. The burgers were average at best and sorry, but the fries aren't good. When i want to eat fries i like more potatoe than salt, and at val's they actually have more salt than potatoe. Absolutely disgusting.

BTW, just got directions to your new place. Wow, hello Bumf* Nowhere. If I hear banjoes tomorrow night, I'm high-tailing it out of there instantaneously.

Yy
You do realize that i was looking for a place out of town a bit because i don't like living in the city, right? Its not as far as it looks, only about 15-20 minutes north of the old place, depending on traffic.

Yeah, and I was 20 minutes from there. :p

I'll probably come straight from work, since I'm predicting a 7pm end time at the earliest. And I'm gonna have a sh*load of beer. And then some.

Nice turnout, btw. :p
