Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

'Morning, Lodge.

I had a Summer '08 flashback yesterday, as I spent all day at the beach and then at the ice cream stand where I worked. A friend who still works there was by himself because his coworker was a no-call-no-show. So, having nothing better to do and really not wanting to sit around my apartment all evening, I stuck around to help him for the rest of his shift. I'm either a complete loser or a good friend.

So the family wedding I went to in Indiana a few weeks ago has made you tube. The groom sang "Can't take my eyes off of you" to his bride and someone recorded it and it's posted now. The wedding party had started to take over for the band. Later they took it over completely with my three cousins playing and the groom and his brother singing. In this one the groom is singing, his dad (my cousin) on lead guitar, one of the groomsmen on drums, another on keyboard and the best man (grooms brother) coming in to sing back-up later.

morning lodge. Was rudely awoken at 3:27 this morning to go repo a flight from Denver to Kansas City. I then rode in the back of Frontier to Denver to end my day of work. Don't like getting up that early.

But hey, a day of working in Denver beats Greensboro any day, right?

You're a repo man now?

I knew airlines were having some economic trouble, but didn't know they were defaulting on their airplane loans.

yeah, airlines are pretty much the worst economic model of society today

Just saying "Hi". Back from bike riding. It was very hot.

Hi kids. Back from the Cape. Weather was awesome. I got a bit too much sun. Just the way I like it! Off to make dinner and then make lunch and prep my stuff for tomorrow. And do some laundry.

I guess it's good that you're packing heat in case any of those gate agents try to stop you!
Gate agents = prime example of people doing menial labor and acting like royal ****s to people to compensate for that fact.

Howdy Kids

Its cold this morning, down to 60 and dew points are lower, for the moment anyway.

Howdy, Wally!

The weather is still "yuck" here.

I don't know how you ride your bike in that. How much water do you take with you? Seems like you could dehydrate pretty quickly with those temps and humidity
