Brave soul. I've heard that's the worst part. (did you have EZ Prep - mix packets in with Gatorade or Crystal Lite?) You'll probably be consciously sedated for the actual procedure, you're not "under", but you're not at all with it. You shouldn't feel any pain, but as a warning, you'll be a gassy mo-fo afterward (they usually have to inflate the intestines to pass the tube). I assume you have a means of transportation home?
That blows.

Evening, Lodge. I've taken the prep for my colonoscopy tomorrow morning... and after this test is done, I'm gonna find some pancakes and rib tips...

Hang in there SB - you're going through the worst of the whole procedure right now.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

I just hope the doctor has the common courtesy to give him a reacharound.

Re: Rep Retirement Lodge 117: It's The Dog Days of Summer

Unfortunately, "turn your head and cough" does not constitute a reacharound.
I hated that one, especially when the bastard comments that my shorts matched the color of my shirt. As if it didn't already have a gay feeling to the events that day.

And Parise help you if you had an attractive woman doctor.

You're kinda in trouble either way.

Yeah, you never realize just how chilly a doctor's office really is until certain moments come to be.

Acceptable topics for a physical, if the doctor and patient are both males:
-the procedure itself
-sports, preferably not involving balls or sticks
-auto racing
-hunting/fishing
-bitching about one's significant other

Unacceptable topics:
-how good the patient looks that day
-anything seen on Oprah
-the lightness of said doctor's touch
-how attractive the receptionist is - could be *ahem* an awkward situation

I prefer the no convo approach. Business only, get me out of there as quick as possible. For any doc visit.

Yeah, before the shorts comment we were talking economic impacts of recently passed legislation - he was looking over my chart and asked what I studied in school and did for work - economics and financial ops, respectively.
