Morning Lodge. Warm here in my office. I better look into that...my guy who looks after that is on vacation this week and it's supposed to be hotter tomorrow. :(

Shouldn't that *not* happen in an office filled with engineers? Aren't you people supposed to prevent that from happening? :p

We have a cheap *** architect as an owner. We can recommend all the fixes to the 25 year old system, but if he won't pay for them the bailing wire and chewing gum only goes so far (a commercial system like this has an expected life span of 15 years).

Come on, you're engineers. Pool together $1000 worth of parts and make the system better than the original by modifying it.

Good morning, Lodge!

Just returned from visiting friends in OK City. Hot and humid, but a lot of fun. We're going back again for the 18 Sep Air Force/OU football game in Norman. It would be nice if AF made a game of it, but that's hard to envision!

Good morning everyone!

how the *k do you people on the east coast deal with this heat and humidity?
By not living in Greensboro. :p If it makes you feel any better, NC has been hotter than normal this summer. It's usually a bit more bearable.

MTU fans (or anyone else),

What is the reference to the Paint Store about?

The central hub for rumors about Tech hockey is the Sherwin-Williams paint store downtown where several Tech posters work.

The last 3 hours of work are going to be slooooow.

I literally have nothing to do for the rest of the day. Hopefully something will come up.

I went running today in Greensboro, and it actually looks like an enjoyable place. I think I'll be able to handle it here on my days of sitting reserve.

The g family will be spending the weekend in cityslickerville.

I would like to take the little g's for a train ride. Do any of you cityslickers have any recommendations to a tourist trap that offers train rides? :)

Are you reserve so often because you are low man on the pilot totem pole?

There is a train/trolley at one of the city lakes (Harriet?) that runs in the summer.

Otherwise you could just take the Light Rail from Downtown to the Mall of America. It's a train! There is even a tunnel that it goes through at the airport.

Thanks. We are doing the Light Rail deal as well. I am looking for a train that goes "Choo Choo!" :D
